I don't have a problem with the loadout menu or the spawn selector. Although in consoles could be useful to chose where to spawn with a menu AND with the map.

The commorose is missing one of the most important calls: "I need backup". This is essential for asking for help from other squads defending bases. In BF2 I found it worked more often than not.

Even though BF4 will feature VOIP now. The point of the commorose is to communicate to squads that you cannot talk to otherwise. Thats why it needs to be there.
 
Wow, I downloaded the beta on PS3 just for kicks and I am presently surprised. It doesn't look too bad, and actually its pretty decent visuals for 7 year old hardware. Runs pretty smooth too. Bodes well for the PS4 version.

Different strokes for different folks I guess!

It sounds like the PS3 version is faring a lot better than the 360.

Fraps for whatever reason won't check the FPS, but on DXTory I was getting 40-50 on medium, 1080p with vsync on.

And the rooftop on uhh, domination is just bad since there's no way up there aside from the one elevator and ladder if you're lucky. There isn't another way up is there? So there's no spawn protection either? Do ammo packs not refill c4, grenades as well?

Just type ~ then perfOverlay.DrawFPS 1 to see in game FPS
 
So I can't launch into a game since I use cyberfox which is 64bit and every other browser seems to think origin isn't installed. I thought they moved the battlelog bullshit to inside the game?

Dammit Dice.
 
Anyone else have the problem where they can't download it on Origin because it hits a certain percentage and then drops back down to around 50% and continues on a loop? I tried everything. Changing my DNS, etc.
 
So is the general consensus that BF4 performs better in Win8 than it does in Win7? I've been thinking about switching over to 8 on my PC when I get home.

This seems to be the issue here. I noticed it yesterday with myself and two friends with similar hardware, the one with Win8 suffered no stuttering. Now today I can add another without that issue using Win8, with another suffering stuttering with Titan but with Win7, which then changed to their Win8 machine and didn't have an issue.

I don't want to install Win8 on my machine, so I hope this nonsense is solved. Would be nice if DICE would comment on some of these concerns too.

Looks like people are talking about the console versions here, but I have to say I've just downloaded and it looks horrible, BF3 looks better
And the file size is small too, runs ok but it looks like they forgot to add the graphics.

Now that 8.1 will allow you to choose the classic Win 7 desktop, I am going to bite the bullet and upgrade.
 
Played the ps3 version, had a couple of hard freezes this afternoon but non this evening. Anyone else having problems swapping from main weapon to pistol? I'm having to hit triangle 3 or 4 times before I can swap to the pistol.

I manually downloaded and installed PB and it fixed my Loading screen bug.

Unlocked the Type 88 lmg and the ammo box (FINALLY). The 88 kicks so much ass.
 
Having fun. Sadly the game kicks me out every once in a while. Also I am sure I am the only idiot playing with a gamepad :P

Did you manually update PunkBuster yet? PB caused a lot of kicks in BF3 if it wasn't updated.

I have a buddy who is ace in BF3 on the 360. He uses a controller on PC and still does pretty damned well.

Ok, apparently, somehow, someway, someone got the boat that spawns at C on top of the roof at D and used it as an AA turret. Has this happened an any of your games yet?
 
Navigation in this game is cumbersome. I feel like I'm encountering too many invisible walls. Sometimes takes me a few moments to pass/vault/jump over an obstacle.

The rocks in flag point C are also bad.
 
I just downloaded and installed it. Previously, I did it on Xbox 360 (premium).

What a difference! Is really amazing! I don't have a powerful machine. BF3 didn't run that well. But this game looks and plays better than 3. And they say is not optimized yet.

The only problem I have is when I try to configure the xbox360 pad (please, no kb/m vs controller wars). I tried to leave it as BF3. All was good, except that even as it brake with left trigger, also make a zoom. Forutnately it does not have that glitch with right trigger. The same goes with right bumper, but is not really a problem becasuse it spots, even when I have it on "back".

Some lag, some hiccups, but all in all, I'm happy with this game in both plattforms. I can't wait for the final version (and those two first weeks when nobody can play)
 
DAT BOAT. Crazy insane and insanely fun. Only downside is unlike the VADS in BC2 you can't damage tanks with the guns. Otherwise it'd be completely broke.
 
Looking through the reports, this match(/url] was pretty awesome.

Shanghai Domination is such a great shotgun map. At the same time it maintains quite a bit of verticality and open spaces, got sniped plenty of times.

What I love most of all is the interaction with the environment, whether it is lowering the shutters in the mall or trapping tanks on the bridges, the freaking metal detectors giving your position away (I laughed so much the first time I sneaked up on a guy then <BEEP BEEP BEEP> and he turned around and shot me), the groundspawn weapons (seriously, what's up with that?) and the DESTRUCTION! Oh such beautiful destruction.

I hope the other maps will feature the same degree of interaction. I also can't wait to leave claymores within containers, close the doors and hope someone takes the bait haha.
