Battlefield 4 Gameplay on Xbox One

Of course it is confirmed. They've been saying as much since E3. Why haven't we seen it at an event? Because setting up 64 play stations at a minor trade show isn't exactly easy, and the two big conferences where they did (E3 and Gamescom) they probably wanted PC hardware to ensure things were stable.

Maybe 64 player matches next week???

This morning EB Games Australia announced via their twitter that Microsoft has permitted them to include approximately 100 interactive Xbox One consoles at their upcoming 2013 convention in Australia.

That doesn't look very good. Going to be pissed if DICE cannot get this game looking good on either the PS4 or the XB1. Looks like BF3 on a PC with medium settings for detail.

I can't make heads or tails from a direct feed YT video but you got this from an off screen video?

Yeah, from what we've seen in these videos of the next-gen versions, it doesn't look very good graphically. It's hard to get a perfect feel for how it looks without direct feed, but you can definitely get a gist of it from off-screen like these.

I wish DICE would just release some direct feed of the console versions. I can't see shit in any of the off screen videos we've gotten.

Man... something was missing from those videos, those graphics looked pretty rough.

So many shadows were completely absent, especially those lined up tanks, they weren't casting any shadows or anything on the ground.

It's hard to tell from a shaky video, but it looked like one or both was missing from that video

1) Shadows from various objects were missing
2) Ambient Occlusion seemed to be missing

As someone who saw the game today I can verify the textures were muddy and poor. The games were running on actual Xbox One consoles.

Edit: Game was not 1080p but was 60fps (ish) before someone asks.

The quality is poor as there are huge banners saying NO CAMERAS OR VIDEOS. With EA PR circling around you like hawks.

In the beginning of the video... around the tanks, no object has a shadow. No shadows are being rendered....

Battlefield 2 confirmed for xb1

No aim assist though?

nope

I really don't understand why PC shooters don't turn on aim assist for when a joypad is being used. It levels the playing field for those who aren't comfortable with KB&M.

Maybe we'll see more of an initiative now that Steam Machines are a thing. Lack of controller aim assist is going to be a huge problem for their "comfy couch" vision.

What would you say is equivalent PC settings?

Looks decent enough. Wasn't expecting better graphics than this given that PC GPUs are already so far ahead of what's in X1 and PS4.

For consoles I'll take 60fps with lower graphic settings @ 720p anyday. I assume the PS4 version will look nearly the same.

Will be buying BF4 for PS4 and PC anyway. The best of bold worlds. I'll get to enjoy the PS4 version this year. I wanna hold off on getting the PC version until it's updated to take advantage of AMD's new Mantle API.

I bet they optimized for 60fps first and now they will work on bumping up the graphics.

At least that's what I hope they are doing.

This is how I feel. If my laptop can run bf4 I will buy there if not ps4 it is. I enjoyed bf3 on both PC and ps3
