It's amazing how EA can just recycle content from a game most people who are playing BF4 own already, and put in a game that is barely different from the one where they came from. It's amazing how EA can just recycle content from a game most people who are playing BF4 own already, and put in a game that is barely different from the one where they came from. And people who didn't pre-order will pay money for it. I mean, it's not like the BF2 maps where people were clamouring for some decent maps in a game that had approximately none by default.

Remember that these maps are going to basically be brand new for our new 64 player console brethren.

I don't really care for any of the maps except Caspian, but at least they put some effort into changing the maps up instead of straight up recycling them.

Indeed, I loathe Metroll. I think it's a close second for worst map in BF history. Cao Son Temple in BC2 was horrific, first place IMO.

The announcer in the trailer described Metroll well: "The bowels of Metro", lol.

It was the most popular BF3 map, and the Second Assault DLC is remakes of the 4 most popular.

What I'm wondering is how on earth Firestorm made it. That map was bo-ring! I wish they'd done Damavand Peak or Kharg Island.

Level designers would take care of adding new game modes (spawn points for people/objectives) as well as creating the levels whereas the artist would populate it and make it look pretty. There's definitely QA on them as well, but there's very little engineer support I'm guessing.

I don't know the pipeline for Frostbite 3, so I'm not sure difficult it is for adding in new vehicles. Though I'd imagine they'll use their current vehicles as a template.

Yup, they're adding new weapons, CTF, and also retrofitting the maps for the new modes (e.g., Obliteration and CTF on Metro, etc.)

I know we're all (rightfully) shitting on DICE for the issues right now, but Premium was probably one of the best, if not the best, DLC/subscription packages of last gen.

Metro is the best rush map if you're into smashmouth infantry style gameplay. If you want to fart around in vehicles, you won't like it. You may even loathe it. Too many people joined a 64 player conquest Metro with 1,000 tickets and explosives. That's not the 'good' metro people are talking about.

I want these maps and I'd even pay for Premium, I theoretically like this game so much. But as it exists now, these guys aren't getting one more cent from me.

They should be focusing ALL their efforts on getting the game working. The fact that they're asking for more money before it's fixed is insulting.

Sometimes I don't understand, I guess the anti CoD group is larger then the anti BF group. Either way this game is broken and should be getting more bad press. The irony is that BF is slowly, but surely imitating CoD in many ways. EA contemplating annualizing it should be all the proof you need.
