Let me ask you BayGAF, do you live in fear? I mean, based on the Aenima album artwork alone, you guys are fucked. What's the over-under for total annihilation?

Holy crap!

That's right by my brother in law and his wife! Gonna find out if everything is cool...

Wario: Link for Earthquake Is everything okay at your place?

Everything is all good. Surprisingly nothing fell from my messy desk, but I went for cover like 2-3 seconds into the quake.

Well, back to studying :lol

Felt nothing at all in southern california. :( I always hope that earthquakes happen here as we're the best prepared and aware of them. Much less chance of real bad things happening because we all know what to do and have building codes and so on.

and usually they're fun and a refreshing break from studying

5.6 just outside of San Jose. I felt it up here in SF, the duration started to freak me out a little. Normally the shaking/slight rattling stops after a second or two. But this one had me at least eyeing the door-frame to the kitchen.

Dude, if you ever felt an earthquake in SoCal that originated in NorCal (or vice versa), that'd pretty much be the big one.

I want an earthquake soon =(
i miss those... i lived through the 94 Northridge earthquake and don't want something that big but just a lil tremble to remind me this planet is alive...
why am i so weird?

screw the doorframe, face the earthquake head on, stand on your roof with your chest held high.

Probably not a good idea. On top of a bedrock hill it may be, my building is still a geriatric 100-years-old.

That was a biggie. First time I've ever felt like I needed to head for the doorframe.
Eh I was standing in the middle of my room. I didn't expect it to last that long and everything was shaking all over the place.

I was eating a BBQ chicken in one hand and a corn dog in the other. Walked out of the house like that when I felt. Good shit.
EDIT: Fremont bitches!

Would that even trigger a tsunami? Or would any earthquake over here? I never hear about them aside from earthquakes in Indonesia...

It depends on the fault's location (it needs to be underwater for the risk to be there) and the type of earthquake. This one was on the Calaveras fault, so no tsunami at all.

Man, that owned

Thank god it came along, I set my alarm for 7:30 and was too lazy to get out of bed until it hit and my dad was yelling at me to get under a doorway

(I'm in San Jose as well)

Damn that sucker was a deep one. Hope this doesn't mean the begining of the the end for us South Bayer's. My apartment complex here in sunnyvale was a moving and shaking. And i'm on the bottom floor thank god. But i went straight for the door frame.

Thought at first it was my neighbors above jumping up and down. Then my whole body moved. Both of our cats went nutz earlier today no wonder why. They are safe now so all is well. Back to Team Fortress 2

Man, it's been so long that my earthquake instincts are useless. I just sat there like an idiot.

Hopefully I'll think quicker when the "Big One" comes.
While the bay area GAF is still here can we discuss our slang? I'm really getting tired of "slaps" and "bud".

verizon lines are dead it seems? for me at least D:

I just sat there when it happened. Only ran for the door after :lol

Felt it in modesto..90 miles away..quick jolt and it was over..never thought it would get out here
Dammit! I'm in Davis and didn't feel anything! Ugh, just a bit closer and I would've felt something =(
Or maybe I just didn't feel it but it did reach here?
...

It's not all that great, really.
Lots of wind, and a horrible screeching.

I figured. I don't get the fascination some people have with experiencing an earthquake either. Far as I'm concerned the ground isn't supposed to move unless something is severly fucked up.

Scared the fuck out of me. I was playing Halo 3, then my TV, 360, and chair started to waggle, and I'm chatting with my friend and I say "HOLY SHIT OH SHIT" then turn off my 360 and run to my computer desk and go under it.

I was watching the Charlie Brown Halloween special and doing homework when all of a sudden, O HAI, EARTHQUAKE!

That was scary.
