Ok, I need to ask... If I buy Bayo2 digitally, do I get Bayo1 with it??

I've been waiting for a price drop... but hoped to still get both games...

No, but there's a discount program in place that totals both titles to $60, no matter which one you get first. This likely going to change pretty soon.

For those wondering, I inferred that the reason there was a standalone release in the EU from day one is that the two games received different PEGI ratings, the first game was 18, and the second was 16.

Had they only sold the double pack, it would have to have been an 18 certificate release, but selling a standalone version of the sequel (in addition to a more expensive double pack) meant that they didn't have to limit their market.

Both games received the same age rating from the ESRB.

I could definitely see the Joy torture attack sending B1 over the edge.

What is the "discount" offer on the NA eShop? If I buy Bayonetta 2 for $50 there, what price do I get Bayonetta 1 for?

I have Bayo 1 on 360, so it's not that huge of a deal. Just tempted...

both together always end up at $60. If bayo 2 is $50 on the eShop, bayo 1 will auto-discount to $10 afterwards. also works the other way around if you buy bayo 1 first.

I was about to say thank goodness since I've been holding off for so long. I got a gift card recently that I was going to use to finally buy the game, but it's been nearly impossible to find in stores, and is ridiculously expensive online. I was hoping it would get a reprint with Bayonetta in Smash.

Just decided to look it up, and Gamestop finally has it in stock online bundled with Bayonetta 1. Went ahead and used the gift card to order it.

Edit: Damn, that was fast. Already says unavailable new, but used seems to be there still.

I believe you get a discount on the other if you buy either digitally. Least, that is what I was reading back when I was considering getting them off the eshop.

I just checked and I had no idea that you could get them separately on the Eshop. If I had known this, I likely would have purchased Bayonetta 2 by now...

Solo Bayo2 reprint is new to North America if I'm not mistaken. I has been available in other territories for some time.

Nintendo essentially owns Bayonetta 2. I mean, they don't technically own it, but they own enough of it that it's impossible for it to leave Nintendo consoles.
