Best 3rd Party Wii U games/ports?

I imagine this will probably be a short list but I'm primarily a PC player so I play most multi platform games there, with the exception of Ubisoft and EA titles, because Uplay and Origin.
lol, I know, silly right? who does that

Looking at my options, the games I'm interested in is Mass Effect 3 and Splinter Cell Blacklist. I'm a bit hesitant to purchase either of these however as apperntly both games has omitted some kind of content for the Wii U version. ME3 2 (major?) pieces of DLC that EA has no plans on adding to complete the package, and Blacklist reportedly lacks the option for offline multiplayer, which I case in comparison is seemingly minor.

Are there any other good 3rd party titles/ports worth experiencing on the Wii U?

Edit: Thinking about playing Watch_Dogs on Wii U...

Sonic all-stars racing transformed or whatever is supposed to be the best version. My kids and I sure enjoyed it enough.

ZombiU
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Rayman Legends
Monster Hunter 3

and there's some eShop stuff too

edit: I will say that Splinter Cell was pretty cool with the gamepad. The multiplayer stuff is obviously annoying, but as a single player game, you could probably find it for cheap, and it's pretty alright.

Lego City Undercover was paid for by Nintendo so it doesn't count, does it? Because if it does, it's fantastic.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Rayman Legends
Sonic Racing Transformed
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

I also have to say I enjoy the Lego games (Batman 2 DC Universe, Marvel Super Heroes, Hobbit, Movie) most on Wii U because of the off-tv play. Each player has their own screen.

I loved the following:
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
- Injustice: Gods Among Us
- Batman Arkham Origins

Of those, only Need for Speed is an EA game, but it might be what you are looking for. For what it's worth, the Gamepad made both Batman and Deus Ex way more playable for me, plus off-tv play is rad for Injustice.

Deus Ex Deus Ex Deus Ex Deus Ex

Best version.

This. I abadoned the PC version in favor of the Wii U version once it was down to a reasonable price. It's an example of a game that the gamepad really makes better.

Splinter Cell Blacklist was a great game, #2 on my GOTY list last year in fact. The gamepad use isn't anything incredible, but it's useful.

If you're into pointer controls, the CoD games are decent ports. Otherwise really no reason to bother with those.

Mass Effect 3 was a good port, and can be had dirt cheap. But if you're new to the series get the trilogy pack on another platform.

Zombiu is at the top of the list.

Deux Ex, NGIII:RE are probably the best as far as ports go. Blacklist is a tricky one since getting gimped on modes does suck but the game is still pretty good.

I'm a fan of Lost World but I seem to be in the minority on that topic.

ZombiU
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Dues Ex: HR DC
Lego City Undercover
Rayman Legendo

All these are top of line 3rd party games on the Wii U, with ZombiU easily being my favorite out of the bunch. The game made me sad though as survival horror games don't come like this much anymore :(

For multiplatform games, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is really good, Rayman Legends WiiU version offers the complete experience so is the best port.Injustice is just like the PS360 version but NRS didn't updated the game as other versions which is disappointing.

Mass Effect 3 is a great port by Straight Right and uses the gamepad pretty well. I liked it a lot.......played the first two on PC.

Zombi U
Rayman Legends
Deus ex
Most wanted u
Monster hunter
Tekken

Other enjoyable ports
Cod black ops 2
Splinter cell
Injustice
Ac 3 and four

Sonic Racing is probably the best Wii U-game after 3D World, so get that.

So you've only played two U games?

Anyways ZombiU is the best third party game on the platform.

I also enjoyed Blops 2 with the seperate screen multiplayer, but that community is super small these days.

I'm a fan of the COD games on Wii U only because of the IR controls. Sure they lack the DLC but are still pretty solid ports (after the patches).

Blacklist is a good port. Mass Effect 3 is missing DLC but if you've never played a game in the series before I think it's a pretty good third person shooter.

The Assassins Creed games are solid ports and Rayman and Tekken are probably the best ports in comparison to themselves on other systems.

Rayman Legends and Need for Speed Most Wanted U are two the of the best that I've played
or rather the only ones.

I still haven't played Lego City U.

Deus Ex has to be the best.

I wish I could say splinter cell, but the semi broken online made it next to impossible to connect the few of us who bought that version.

The single player ran great.

Has anyone played Assassins Creed IV?
I have. It's a good port and being able to relegate the HUD to the Gamepad is nice.

Frame rate is fine as well. The only time I've seen hiccups is in Havana. I stopped playing a while ago because after the sailing stuff, it dawned on me that Assassins Creed games are kinda shitty with bad controls and terrible swordplay.

If you can find it for $20, it's worth the pickup for the 10 or so hours of pirate simulation, island building and knick-knack hunting you never knew you wanted. The first time you bring down a massive Spanish Galleon that's way more powerful than you by a few minutes of steady out maneuvering is pretty great.

I thought Darksiders 2 was pretty good.
Injustice is good but my online never works.
I bought this for $20 when Nordic did that sale on the eShop. It's pretty good, but my god the screen tearing. I never really noticed it on the 360 all these years, but after owning a console where pretty much every game is completely devoid of it, it makes it hard to look at.

Has anyone played Assassins Creed IV?

Yeah i recently bought it because i liked the idea of the off-screen map on the gamepad, but unfortunately the game runs like crap. Frame rates feel like they dip as low as 10fps all the time.

Iv read quite a few comments on GAF with people saying its a solid port, baffles me why they would think this, i wouldn't play the game even if it was given to me for free.

I sent it back and got a refund, i do not recommend it on the Wii U at all.

For what it's worth I thoroughly enjoyed rayman legends, arkham city and origins much more on the wiiu then their 360 counterparts.

Tangentially related but I'd love to see a best 3rd party wii port thread

Here's a random one for you all, if I already own Batman Arkham City on PS3, but haven't touched it, is it worth it to play it on Wii U instead? I don't really care about about trophies, and I already prefer the Wii U controller to DS3 - also it's pretty cheap. I'm just curious if it is a better experience on the Wii U over the PS3.

Not my experience with the game at all. Ran super smooth and IMO better than my wife's 360 copy. Sucks that Freedom Cry will never come over.

Ninja Gaiden 3 - Razors Edge?? Hmm, it has frame rate issues on the Wii U in the intense combat areas and the PS3 version is said to have slightly better frame rates in these places. I've not played the PS3 version.

But the Wii U version has Off TV play. It's published by Nintendo in the UK.
