Best deodorant alternatives to Axe?

I moved to America late last year and didn't bring any of my fragrances with me. In an effort to save money over the past few months I've been purchasing Axe as a simple deodorant, however feel it's time for a change with a longer-lasting, stronger scent.

I've tried very types of Axe and although I got generally good feedback I'm just bored and need a change. So far this has been my favourite:

Now I'm not talking cologne or aftershave and definitely don't want to break the bank. Just wondering what (<$20) deodorant the scent enthusiasts of GAF use and what I should invest in next.

You're telling me there is deodorant over 20 dollars? I just buy speed stick, tried Old Spice once and had a terrible rash for like a week.

I've always used some variant of Degree or other, because I find them to have just enough of a scent but not all in your face.

Degree Adrenaline will last a very long time (48hrs) but you have to be really careful. It powders bad and gets everywhere including your clothes and you will probably end up tasting it throughout the day unintentionally. BLECH!

Mitchum unscented worked really well for me then my body chemistry changed and it didn't last very long.

Same thing with Dove for Men, doesn't last throughout the day any longer.

I have been using Degree Dry Protection (clear stick) most consistently and it holds up well.

Roll-ons are far, far better than spray-ons. Especially Lynx (Axe or whatever you call it).

L'Oreal Men Expert Carbon is great, if you can get it stateside?

everything is an alternative to Axe. please don't use axe.

I personally go for the original old spice non antiperspirant.

Anything.

I use Old Spice Pure Sport Deodorant and smell amazing.

Edit: Oh and most "scents" aka cologne smells awful to me and I would never use any.

Anything without that aluminum shit in it. Ruined a few shirts :( I used to love Old Spice after hours until I noticed it was fucking up my shirts.

I use Speed Stick now.

Ugh, Axe is vile. Some guy legit sprays himself with that for at least 30 seconds after every gym session.
