Australian version only. I've no idea what they do in the US but visiting a KFC in the UK was bitterly disappointing as they're only salted not seasoned with the dandruff of god himself here in Oz.

They don't serve fries in the US

As far as fast food fries go, Popeye's, Chick-fil-a, Bon-chon, and Five Guys are my favorites. And, while not totally fries, KFC's potato wedge's are pretty good as well. Surprised by all the Five Guy's hate. They're pretty similar to every typical "boardwalk fries" place I've been (Thrasher's, et cetera).

Best fries I ever had were these duck-fat fries at a local pub. They're triple fried for an amazing texture and tossed with rosemary.

Gordon Biersch's garlic fries are pretty good too.

Red Robin fries are good because they give you tons of them.

Checkers fries are the best by themselves though, love those damn things. The rest of Checker's food is trash though. At least they have Dr Pepper.

dip the red robin fries in their clam chowda, so good

I actually think the default fries at Checkers/Rallys and Five Guys are way over seasoned/salty.

I do like the chick-fil-a fries lately. I still like MCds fries now and then.

I just thought of what the actual best fries I have ever had was. These Parmesian truffle fries at a diner I found in California when on vacation were incredible.

Pizza Hut's fries are actually surprisingly good. Ordered them with a guy in my office one day and was completely caught off guard.

Other than that, Checker's, Arby's, McDonald's, Popeye's (when they aren't stale) fries are all favorites.

Though they aren't country wide fast food fries. The Original Hot Dog Shop's fries in Pittsburgh and Kennywoods Potatoe Patch are God tier fries. Pittsburgh GAF knows what I'm talking about.

Chik fil a waffle fries are the king of fast food fries. Dip them suckers in chik fil a sauce and smack my ass
Smacksmack

I'm all about the bbq sauce tho. I never actually tried the chic fil a sauce. I prefer bbq to honey mustard and ranch and it's apparently a blend of all three?

Umami Burger fries

Though the real lynchpin is their house ketchup.

patatje oorlog = satay onion mayo sauce on flemish fries, beats most of the fast food options from chain restaurants listed so far

Back in 2004 went to a Denny's in LA.

I ordered a burger and it came with fries, as usual.

THOSE are the best I have ever eaten, I won't forget that taste.

I have not eaten McDonald's or Burger King in 10 years so I don't know if they have changed since but burger King was the best.

McDonald's chips had to be eaten quickly before they go gooey and become inedible. Burger King remain crunchy throughout the meal.

But you can't beat chips from a fish and chip shop. Plenty of salt and vinegar with two slices of white bread.

If you get Five Guys but don't get Cajun, you've deprived yourself.

Chickfila is a good #2 but they have to be fresh, not soggy

Jack in the Box used to have some amazing fries many, many years ago when they used to dip them in batter. Not so sure about now, though.

Can't go wrong with McDonald fries.

McDonald's without a doubt. Even if I'm eating another fast food restaurant, I'll choose to stop at McDonald's to get fries.

Chickie & Pete's Crabfries from Philadelphia. Without a doubt the best fries I've ever eaten - they could easily be a whole meal. The seasoning on these things is just god-tier.
