GAF. It's once again time to discuss a topic as old as man himselfj. A debtate for the ages that revolves around our favorite quick meal born from a combination of unhealthy ingredients and so much Sodium it makes you wonder if just filling the cup with salt and eating that wouldn't be the healthier alternative.

What are the best instant noodles.

My nomination are whatever these are called:

Really tasty and with my ideal amount of spiciness: Enough so you actually feel it but not so spciy that it's like "omg I can't eat this"

Well GAF, what are your choices?

Shin Ramyun all day long if we are going widely available and affordable
Or Shin Ramyun Black

What country are you in? I live in London, England and these noodles are just so, so tasty!! They're the very best I've come across in London. Also try the Tom Yam flavour but it's the Stir Fry flavour specifically that are so beaut.

You don't actually make them with a soup. Cook the noodles, drain the water, add the flavour sachets and mix in. Delicious!!

Nisshin just started doing instant yakisoba in the UK - both the classic (yellow top) and teriyaki (green top) are pretty damn nice.

Sapporo Ichiban or Nissin Demae Ramen. Add the seasoning packet in while you cook the noodles, then drain the water out and eat.

I'm actually eating a pack of these as we speak. I have to add seasoning, chilli sauce and pepper plus an egg! Otherwise they can be pretty bland.

Japanese curry rice on saturday. Leftover curry mixed into super noodles on Sunday. Yum

came here to say shin black, but it's already been mentioned so... :)

the reason why I like it is because it's available almost everywhere that sells noodles. I'm sure there are better ones, but their availability is way more lacking. and instant noodles are about convenience!

For me, a good instant noodle not only has fine noodles and broth, but some veggies or other add-ins (some have dried meat or seafood even) already in the container, and shin gives you a good amount.

I mean, they are instant noodles but this is about as good ass it gets. Add a bit of spring onion or a couple of mushrooms and you have something approaching nutritious

their kimchi bowl is good, but doesn't taste like kimchi to me. I still like it. and the spicy chicken. but who am I kidding, i'd eat any of them.

Vitasia instant curry noodles from Lidl. Just £0,18. If you throw in some veggies it almost tastes like real food.

Like Shin Ramyun but it's very strong. Have to be in the mood for that. My go to is the Indo Mie vegetable version. Then the curry Koka noodles. My local asian market has a good selection but most aren't labelled as vegetarian friendly. With so many having fish powder in them I don't experiment much. Any tips?

Shin Ramyun spicy > Indo Mie vegetable noodle >> Koka curry flavour >>> Pot Noodle beef and tomato >>>> Bachelors vegetarian options suck >>>>>> Flavourless store brand trash like Tesco, Lidl or Sainsburys

Nothing beats Koka noodles. They are the best.

I've only tried the Maruchan Ramen, chicken or beef. I need to step up my game. Will explore some of the more exotic aisles of the grocery store next trip.
