Best Looking Armor in an RPG

There are so many great ones from Souls & Witcher already posted.

That being said, anytime I ever saw this one I'd swoon. Mainly because I could never beat the game on Dark, but this was my favorite set ever.

Got a ton more I'd like to post when not on mobile!

There used to be these secret min/max armors in Too Human that you could get a hold of that blew the best armors in the game out of the water due to the open rune slots.

What made the game interesting to min/max was there were all these hard and soft caps on stats you needed to be aware of when adding runes.

Although it looks a bit flat and angular by today's standards, I really think the bonemold armor from Morrowind looks cool:

Vangis Blademaster Armor (Deviljho) from Monster Hunter Tri. That male championship belt was awesome and the female armor was like straight out of Mad Max. It also had great skills on it and was really awesome to use with almost any weapon.

Honestly, that's what every game should have at some point. Have your spiky pauldrons, your flowing robes...

But at some point just put a nice coat on some armor. The NCR Ranger outfit and that Monster Hunter picture above look fantastic.

I feel like we may be getting off-topic because the thread title is confusing. Can a mod please change the thread title to Morrigan Stark's Favorite Looking Armor in an RPG?

I'm a big fan of many of FFXI's armor designs, as they actually look practical. Aside from the leather thongs, of course.

The thing about subligar is that Bastok is channeling a smart part of Rome and that's pretty much the stylized dressing of gladiators. It's pretty much what "300" were also going for.

Speaking of FFXI, I thought it was interesting how the Brigandine got its own Vana'diel Tribute article. I guess it's not too surprising since it was pretty popular for its level.

As a mage, I've always liked the Morrigan set, which was the highest tier set for a little awhile.

As for Artifact / Relic armor set (Relic being a better looking version of the AF usually), I really liked Duelist's set.

As for real ass armor, I liked the Haubergeon/Hauberk sets (way prettier than their real life counterparts lol).

I've always appreciated FFXI's armor sets.
Always thought they looked a lot better than WoW's at the time...

FFXIV the thread.

Dragon Quest Erdrick armor, Square even released the armor as stand alone for action figures I think and they sold keychains of it once.

Weird, I am not seeing mentions to some of the armor sets in the Assassins Creed series like the scary and badass Ishak Pasha in AC: Revelations

or the Mayan Armor in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag

I forgot about that since i played MH3U after, which made Vangis armor worse IIRC. Also they ruined the look of it, by adding too many spikes/overdesigning the G-rank Vangis.

But yes it was awesome playing end game monster hunter with a football uniform and wrestling belt x)

I really dig the armors in Tactics Ogre.

Monster Hunter has some great armors as well. I like how you can tell instantly which creature is the main source of material when you are familiar with the game.

Also kudos to everyone who gave a shout to Morrowind's armors. Those are still fantastic. Daedric in Morrowind had the best designs.
