Nothing will or can ever beat the Man City comeback against QPR and its effect on the title. The teams involved, the history, the fact that the entire season hinged on the very last minute, AGUEROOOOOOO, the cameras cutting to the Man United team as the victory turned to ashes... It'd be rejected by even the hackiest of Hollywood screenwriters, but there it was, and it was fucking incredible.

Admittedly City had dropped themselves in it by being shit for most of the match, but those 5 minutes at the end are simply unmatchable.

Watching this event unfold in real time was just unbelievable. Surely City can't score a second goal. Surely.

AGUEERROOOOOOOOOOOO

Michael Schumacher winning the 1995 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix in Spa from 16th position on the grid. His fight on slicks against Hill on wet weather tyres in the wet was epic.

Montreal Canadiens VS New York Rangers - 02/19/2008

Habs come back from a 5-0 deficit and win 6-5 in overtime, the biggest comeback in franchise history.

Go Habs Go!

Flyers coming back after a 3-0 start to their 2010 Eastern Conference Semi-finals. They went onto the Cup finals, but lost to the Blackhawks. Crazy comeback.

Danny Williams one arm knock out of his opponent. He dislocated his shoulder mid way through the round, one arm was just hanging limp and him in incredible pain. He was losing the fight and needed a knockout.

With one arm hanging by his side he some how managed to knock the other dude out with his only good arm by the end of the round.

Nothing can top this, I dare you.

Chelsea's 2012 CL campaign. I still don't believe we did it lol.

Euro 2008 Turkey vs Czech Republic. 2-0 down, 3 goals in 15 minutes to win.

Euro 2008 Turkey vs Croatia. 1-0 down in the 119th minute. 1-1 in the 120th.

Best tournament ever.

I can't imagine how Croatian and Czech Republicans felt.

Searched "Turkey". Read my mind. We're the comeback kings, from Treaty of Sevres to Euro 2008 and beyond :P.

Galatasaray's nearly comeback against Madrid is worth a mention.

My vote is the Miracle at the New Meadowlands. I hate both of these teams. Regardless, this shit was and remains unreal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USgNTd8HccM

You win! I still remember this day like it was yesterday. As an Eagles fan, this was one of the greatest moments in my life, sports wise. I remember being filled with energy & excitement after D.Jack returned the PR for the game winning TD.

Awesome time to be alive!

Baseball is a sport built for improbable comebacks, because the game isn't over until that 27th out is recorded. The most improbable in baseball is something that can be calculated in baseball, and I'm curious what it is. Reading up on the biggest comebacks in major league history you had a 12 run comeback by the Indians over the Mariners, that included five runs to tie with two outs and one on in the bottom of the ninth. The other year in the minor leagues there was a 16 run comeback win.

That being said, comebacks in the timed sports are more exciting and improbable. The Tracy McGrady comeback just can't be replicated in baseball. Fighting the clock, swarming defenses that know a specific player will get the ball and need to shoot a three, and making four straight of those? Absurd.

I go with NiP comeback in CS:GO at Dreamhack Summer 2013.
I also get goosebumps when I watch EVO Moment #37 haha

I know it's not really "improbable", because it's Canada playing hockey, but in the Sochi Women's Gold Medal Game, Canada being down 2-0 against the US w/ three and a half to go and winning it in OT is up there for me, considering how good that US team was.

We then had the WJHC 2011 gold medal and 2012 semi-final games, where in 2011 the Russians scored 5 unanswered in the third period to win 5-3 (that one hurt), and in 2012 the Canadians rallied back being down 4-0 going into the third to fall 6-5 (that one hurt, too). There was also 2009, where Russia had the game 100% in the bag, but iced the puck, and Eberle scored with 5.4 seconds left (Canada would win in a shootout and go on to win gold, their fifth in a row). Eberle also almost performed miracle magic the next year in the Gold medal game when he scored twice in the last three minutes to tie it, but Canada lost in OT.

I can't imagine how Croatian and Czech Republicans felt.

imagine if we had the full team for our last game. I think we had 3 players on the bench because of injuries and suspensions lol.

This is my vote. It was an incredible game. 3 nil down, dead and buried during half time. Some spectators already left the stadium.

No one knew what miracle was gonna happen next. Utterly unbelievable.

Team A scores three goals in first half. Team B scores three goals in second half. Is that really a dramatic comeback?

3-0 down with 5 minutes to play yes (which is why I think Manchester United Vs Bayern Munich is a great comeback).

I can't find any highlights, but the 2002 49ers Giants Wildcard game was a crazy one as well.

At halftime, the Giants were up 28-14 and extended that lead to 38-14 with two minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

From that point on, the 49ers went on to score 17 unanswered points and game came down to one play

Two penalties should have been called on this play, an ineligible man down field was called on the Giants (a legit penalty, as there was more then one linemen that wasn't eligible down field) and pass interference on the 49ers as the ball was thrown to an eligible player and he was interfered.

The play should have been replayed.

THIS
Greatest comeback in sport history bar none
BAR NONE
Not to mention that they were also down 3-0 in game 7 as well.

For me, the best moment is the Argentina vs Serbia basketball match in the 2004 Olympic Games. It was the last quarter and Serbia was winning by one point, when Manu Ginobili shot the ball at the very last millisecond and made Argentina win the match. When I say "very last millisecond" I'm not exaggerating: the clock was marking 0.3 seconds left to play when the ball left his hands. This would be impressive in itself, but there's more: he was falling to the side at the moment he threw the ball, making the shot seem like it came out of one of those silly movies where the "underdogs" end up winning totally out of the blue at the end.

It was impressive to see, and it shows how good Manu is. Seeing it again feels incredible.

Here's a video of the last 2 minutes of the match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHT5f2-6Y_U. The commentary is in Spanish, but you can still make out what he's saying by the tone of his voice. Magic starts at 2:06.

Ohh and this, what a tournament that was for us.

What nonsense

1) Milan were objectively a far, far superior team to Liverpool 10 years ago
2) Teams barely ever come back from 3-0 down
3) Let alone in the fucking biggest match in club football

Sweden vs Finland 2003 Hockey World Championship
Down 5-1, turned around to win 6-5 and it took place in Finland.

That's the game that broke me as a human being. I was so upset. Christ, I can still feel the anger and sadness.

Teams rarely recover from a 3-0 deficit, let alone in the biggest club career match of their lives.

2011 Canadian Grand Prix - Jensen Button involved in two collisions, goes from dead last 21st place with the race more than half over, to finishing 1st. I don't even watch F1 regularly and that still amazes me.

well, they were also waiting for like an hour more to restart the race. it was intense after. The track was so wet.

I was checking the live updates of the race instead of my commencement speaker.
