Best Original Score in Game Ever is...

For me nothing beats Shadow of the Colossus.

That's not My favourite sounding game (Mega Man 2 is the first thing that came to my mind.) /repeat ad naseum in the thread

I found Origins' OST to be wholly mediocre, it was good at points but often unmemorable. Legends was slightly better in that department IMO.
I wouldn't say I found it mediocre but I always found it lacked something on the whole.
A number of tracks have really short loops and a few stages will run through like 2 or 3 separate small themes as you progress with no flowing transition, makes things just seem kinda messy at times.
Still there's some good stuff in there, Lum King, Darktoon Chase, Lost Beats, Land of the Livid Dead themes and the treasure chase theme to name a few.

I found Legends a huge improvement on the whole, it handled the musical transitions a lot better so it sounded more organic when playing the game, some of its boss themes were stand outs, the mix of zany and orchestration creates a fun contrast.

I can only hope David Wise incorporates some DKC3 GBA compositions into Retro's next DKC game.
Indeed, they deserve better than the GBA sound can muster.

That has to go for Okami, Chrono Cross or Super Mario Galaxy. I love Shadow of the Colossus too, but its way less varied than those three others.

What the hell is this??? It's great. The game is Neverhood?

Oh man, you're in for a treat. The Neverhood is a point & click adventure from 1996, from the mind of Doug TenNapel (famous for Earthworm Jim) with a distinct claymation visual style and music by Terry Scott Taylor. It's actually a part of a series, the other games being Skullmonkeys (a platformer) and the upcoming Armikrog, also a point & click adventure.

I dunno man, I personally found Mega Man 3 to have the better soundtrack. Even then, it's got nothing on the likes of Chrono Trigger or Super Mario Galaxy.

I also want to make some shout outs to ICO and the original Star Fox.
