Best platform to play Telltale Games on?

Just noticed that The Wolf Among Us is on sale at BB for PS4/Xbone for 19.99 ($15 GCU). How are the PS4/Xbone ports compared to the mobile/tablet/PC versions? Is there a consensus on which platform is the best to get telltale games on? Are there differences in graphics? One more buggy than the other (yeah I know TTG are buggy in general)? Controller v. mouse v. touch screen?

Pricing for TWAU between iOS and console looks about the same at the moment but console version would be physical obviously. I've previously played TWD, BTTF, and Monkey Island on iPad.

Heard ppl say games are still buggy on PS4/XB1. Think PC is the least buggy and thus best platform in that sense. General rule of thumb of course

PC, PS4, or XBO. The games run like ass on platforms with less power.

Tried TGOT on my Xperia Z3 the other day and while it was never choppy the fluctuating framerate was hideous. Like between 30-60 constantly. Uninstalled it promptly (and I have to say that Google Play have the best refund system ever!)

So my point is that you should stay away from the mobile versions of their games.

The vita version of Walking Dead was pretty pathetic...

I am amazed this thing was actually released the way it plays

There are huge framerate issues and stutters that affect the gameplay.

Dont know where you should play it (other than PC ofcourse) but stay off of Vita!

I enjoy it on the Vita when available : in the bed/train with headphone.
Yes there are some framerate issues, but IMO it's compensated by the portability.
I would not have time to play it sitting in front of PC/TV.
It's a bit like reading a book or a comic in the train for me.

PC with whatever input device you prefer. They usually go cheap during sales, you don't need expensive hardware to run them, and if you do happen to run across an issue it's easier to fix than on consoles.

Bought both of their last games on PS4 and it works perfectly.

Constant 1080p/60 ? No perfomance problems or hicups ?

I see people recommending PC, but just from what I've heard save issues are way more common on the PC versions. I've never had any issues with save files on console and never heard anyone else who has had either. But again that's just what I've heard; I could be wrong. Telltale games are a ticking bomb on all platforms.

If you have a newer iPad, I'd recommend that. I played TWD on iPad and PC. The controls really work well with a touch screen, and it's nice to be able to play some of the game whenever you have a few minutes to pull out your iPad.

PC. The saves can be transferred manually..
But lets be serious. The saves only alter dialogues. Nothing is changed in the end.
Get the game on PS4/XBone/PC when it's on sale. PS3 loading screen is annoying..

Out of Telltale games, The Wolf Among Us is the best, followed by The Walking Dead due to the 'sequel'...

@Gaf, pls fill-in your opinions on Game of Thrones and Tale from the Borderlands

I'd say PC. Generally the sharpest image quality and least technical issues. Also non-existent load times, I can immediately tell that someone's playing the console version when I'm watching an LP on Youtube just by the obnoxious loading times.

console versions have trophies/achievements right? probably a stupid reason but thats kind of making me learn toward ps4.

after further thought i don't think i'll get the pc version as i prefer playing on my tv. but ipad version of TWDS1 was good. maybe ill wait just til iOS versions drop to .99/episode

Probably PC, but despite how buggy it could be I enjoyed the Vita port of TWD, just because the Vita is an awesome machine to use and adventure games fit it well.

PC, though I played Tales from Borderlands on PS4 and it was smooth as butter, just as good as the PC versions of TWD and TWAU that I played

PC. Even the Xbox One version of Borderlands had some annoying technical foibles (mostly linked to switching of scenes or even camera angles..) that I imagine wouldn't be there on PC... or at least I'd hope not!

I played the first season of The Walking Dead on PS3, and it ran pretty badly. Season two of it and TWAU were vastly improved on PS4.
