"Athletic" was my favorite for a long time, but this grows on me the more I listen to it. Love the opening.

Chrono Trigger - Wind Scene
Iconic, or something like that. Chrono Trigger has other great tracks, but when I needed to set my jingle in Animal Crossing (GCN), this is what I went to.

Super Metroid - Brinstar ~ The Jungle Floor
Retro remixed this for the multiplayer in Metroid Prime 2 (wait, that game had multiplayer?), but the original is so much better.

Super Metroid - Brinstar ~ Red Soil Swampy Area
It's a pretty short melody, but this one inspired some interesting ocremixes, e.g. "One Girl in All the World"

Lagoon - Phillips Castle

pretty big stinker of a game, basically an action RPG where your sword is the length of a micropenis, making combat an awful chore. But the music was pretty good, it was slightly Ys-ish with that SNES style slapbass sound.

For Parodius Da! and Gokujuu Parodius, I prefer the Arcade versions. For Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius, the PS1 / Saturn versions are much more enjoyable IMO. No love for SFC Parodius music from me.
