Best VGAs?...Best VGAs

Yeah, this has been really fun to watch whereas I couldn't even finish it last year. It manages to appeal to a broad audience without making you feel like an idiot.
 
Definitely the best VGAs, probably as good as it can be on SpikeTV. They need stop laying on the NERD CRED shit so thickly. And seriously, don't invite Felicia Day ever again, that's one of the major reasons this year's show is a 200% improvement over the last one. :P
 
Show is about as good that you can get about talking about video games. Less of the word "nerd" next year though.
 
I'm confused. I thought this was suppose to have 5 all new games? All I saw was 2. But yeah, big improvement over last years.
 
I don't know why they feel the need to lie about the number of new reveals every year. It just leads to disappoint.
 
I think they said they would have 5 world premiere exclusives, not 5 unannounced games. That probably included exclusive trailers:

Phantom Pain
Dark Souls
Tomb Raider
Last of Us
Bioshock: Infinite
 
The best games won the best awards (Journey, TWD)
Some great reveals (Phantom Pain, Dark Souls II) and a great trailer for TLOU

So yeah, it was a good show

fuck all those ads though.

Meh, no reveals I give a shit about. Naming Half-Life 2 "game of the decade" was frustrating, given how poor it is in so many areas, but whatevs.

What was that whole "old-school gamers gonna get hyped" thing about?

well then there ya go was still good enough for me dark souls 2 and date for release for the last of us new infinite trailer didnt wow me but i think the game will be amazing

This is only the 2nd one ive watched..but I noticed theres a big lack of theming to this show. Were mtv doing this you would see in the set, the video packages/transitions and the DJ lots of references to gaming. Like I wanna see guests coming out of Mario warp pipes n shit. I wna see Wolfgang remixing mario bros theme. Wheres that stuff? Has that stuff been there in the past?

That aside, I wouldnt blame anyone watching this who doesnt play games thinking that the only genre of games is "Sci-Fi with shooting". Seriously it just seemed like an award show for geeks that love science fiction, and it just reeked of blandness from the lousy celebs to the boring production.
 
Thought this shit was trash in the beginning, waited til the end so I could give it a fair shot - still trash.

It was a popular vote. So whoever voted the most won. If Call of Duty would have been included it would have won.
 
It was probably the best yeah but I cant get over being lied about 5 new games announced. We only got 1. What a joke.
 
Presentation wise the show was a tonne better than last year. Announcements as I previously said were ZzZzZzZz, but most disappointingly is the trailers haven't been uploaded officially as quickly as they were last year.
 
Dark Souls 2's trailer was amazing. Last of Us was good too.

Other than that, I can't stand Snoop Dogg or Jack Black. Terrible show.
 
nah it was terrible.

The only saving grace was the Dark souls II announcement and Half life 2 winning the decade award.

I wish they actually made an Video game awards show that was more respected and not biased.
There was literally only 5 seconds of Nintendo footage at this show, and the whole thing just reeked of testosterone.

What the heck. Off the top of my head I can think of The Phantom Pain, the new AC, and Dark Souls 2. Still think they're missing one or two than they promised but more than one.
 
I thought that at least the Phantom Pain thing would be revealed at the end. But nothing.

And GOTY went to a bad game.
Oh well. DARK SOULS 2. VGA DEFEATED.
