From rags to riches, the American Console
I'm guessing the rumors about the poorly optimized dev tools were true.720 to 1080p. Impressive.
It better. This game has about the visuals of BF3.
I didn't know beta was 900p. Boyes clealy said it was 1080p during E3 conference. Did he speak too soon or did EA bullshit Sony? After UFCdemogate, it's hard to take EA words about resolutions seriously

Gamingbolt making up crap again with the BF Hardline 1080p story. The game is currently running at 900p just like BF4
Devs weren't pushing the PS4 that much harder before, the Kinect was just preventing them from getting the resolution up to parity. They will continue to develop for the lowest common denominator and now games will be hitting similar resolutions. For multiplats we will probably see identical games in most cases.
Very nice, it's amazing how much potential the Kinect was actually taking.

Parity has been Visceral MO for years now. They locked the PC versions of the Dead Space games to 30fps.
1080p is not native.I wouldn't say it's useless. A high, stable framerate ensures the game will be responsive, assuming there aren't any weird input lag issues. A native resolution of 1080p means there won't be any of the blur associated with scaling up a lower resolution picture. Those things taken together are a good baseline for any game to start from.
For multiplats we will probably see identical games in most cases. Everyone wins and exclusives will continue to showcase the strengths of both platforms.
So we would basically get a gimped PS4 version to ensure parity..
1080p is not native.
We got gimped 360 games and survived seven years.
Things will be alright.

Sometimes there seems to be so much hate in the gaming section if this forum, particularly animosity towards the Xbone and its graphic performance.
So the developer himself says that it should be 1080p/60fps and here comes some of the GAF expert developers at EA with deep inside, calling the Viceral developer a liar and saying he must be "BSing". Are any of you in the development of the game?
Do any of you know how optimize is the engine or the current iteration of the game running on the Xbox One?
The game might end up looking better on PS4 and it's cool to speculate, but why all the hate towards a console, a developer and/or a game if it does end up having parity?
Xbox One IS a great console and so is the PS4. The PS2 was one of the greatest consoles ever made and it was not the most powerful, and neither was the SNES or the PS1. The PS3 did amazing even with a bunch of third party titles that did not have parity to its competition.
Wait, is the PS4 beta really 900p? I thought it definitely looked sharper than BF4 (I just played them both back-to-back).
Nowhere in the article does it stipulate what the thread title says.
A more accurate thread title would read "Battlefield Hardline should run at 1080p/60fps".

Sweet, but will the game be playable day one....?
lmao. But very accurate. I want this game, I want this game badly, but I am not buying this game until a good portion of Gaf impressions say that it is not broken like Battlefield 4.
I'm not surprised, the graphics are pants
Will the game actually work though?
Yeah, Bayonetta on PS3 really brought the x360 version down to parity.
