BF4 PS4 stability patch rolling out right now...and it's still crashing.

We were playing last night for a little while - could not get through a single match of Conquest (64 player) without a crash. The funny part was that when one of us would crash, the others in the chat party (there were 4 of us) would crash as well, which led me to believe that this is maybe a server-side issue.

Either way, it was WAY better before this last patch. Not to imply that it was good or acceptable, but at least I could play 3-4 matches before a crash, unlike now.

I've put almost 40 hours into multiplayer since launch on the PS4 and have had only a handful of crashes. It's really weird that some players on the ps4 are experiencing this so much more yet we're all using the same hardware. Anyone know how that can be?

People do different things with the game. eg. I rarely bring up the scoreboard while ingame and playing, nor do any other stuff like that. This might be why it's more stable for me. Could be network too.

Not all of the crashes are server crashes.
If they were your stats would fizzle.
In all my hours of play i have experienced 3 server crashes, and they were all on locker conquest.
The rest were all personal.

I'm up to around 25 hours now and I've only had about 12-15 crashes, which isn't that terrible considering at least 8 or 10 of them were in the first handful of hours. Seems to be getting better even if it's still not done cooking.

EA sure is doing a great job on trying not to be the worst company in United States. I hope they get sued to oblivion for this shit show game.

Ive had prety good luck before the patch, I would be able to play 4-5 rounds before a crash. But last night i was only able to partly finish maybe 1-2 rounds. Otherwise I was being booted over and over, soemtimes 3 times in a row booted to the main menu before I was actually able to spawn, and then 10 mins later booted again. In the span of maybe an hour and half I was booted about 10 times.

Though I was also being booted from the party chat. None of my friends had the ssue though. They stayed in the party and games throughout my ordeals.

The unrealistic cynic in me says that they only included an SP mode so they could fall back on it when the shit hits the fan and people want their money back for broken multiplayer :P

Yep. Seems to be. Maybe the other PS4 game files are messing with it, too? I honestly don't know at this point.

I've totaled about 105 hours into it now and I while I've experienced crashes, it's more like once out of 4-5 games. Then again, I prefer playing Rush to CQ so that might be it.

When playing CQ, most noticeable thing for me is the rubber-banding and the frame-rate drops when Levolution kicks in. Minor annoyance but the crashes should be fixed first. I experienced the CE crash today but only once in about four Rush matches.

Kinda odd that it's so random and different for almost everyone. Makes me wonder what instigates it. I play it safe, though. I don't open Battlelog while in game and don't fiddle around with the settings too much.

Its almost like they are publishing "fake" patch notes to make it look like they are taking the issues into account... when in reality they do NOTHING. I call BS.

I'm so glad I didn't buy this. I really wanted to pick this up when I got Killzone, but now I'm glad I waited. EA needs to fix this and offer some kind of compensation on all the headaches they've caused customers.

I was actually thinking about this... i wonder if they would actually do such a thing.... because shit aint changed one bit. It's become worse if anything!

Well after the initial crashing, I played it for 4 hours last night (in conquest mode) without a single crash.

I put this game down for a month, go back to it after the patch and still have problems with lag, rubber banding, loading and such, my god...

I beat the first level, started the second, quit, went to work, came home and my save was gone.

I can't believe I was dumb enough to buy Premium.

Once again my single player save is gone....
Can't join a MP game....

Wtf is going on with this. It's been almost one month. Epic Fail. Thank god my friends and I have dependable cod to go back to like a warm blanket.

Pre patch I'd only had two crashes out of maybe two dozen conquest matches and around eight rush games. No problems connecting and games were pretty smooth and my single player game was fine

Post patch I've only had two conquest (laggy, unstable frame-rate) matches before a crash wiped my single player game save. :/

Heads need to roll, start from the top.

Agreed. It's complete and utter bullshit that the game released in this state across multiple fucking platforms. I've had occasional freezes with various PS3 games but nothing, absolutely nothing comes close to the problems I've had with BF4 on PS4.

And to make it up to us we get double XP and a free virtual scope that doesn't cost them a fucking dime? HEE-LARRY-US

The game is still crashing for me. CE errors only though, as I've not experienced any "you've lost connection to ea blah blah blah". That damn error is the bane of my existence ATM, as I've rebuilt my database a few times as well as a fresh install of the game, patch, premium and China rising. Still the bf4 gods torment me.

I see a lot of hatred towards EA and that's justified. But I also think it is time Dice is blamed as well. There is quite a bit of incompetence here that deserves criticism. They did make this broken game after all.

Yes this is a turd. Its ridiculous. I was showing my Ps4 to friends who love BF, we played and had fun but the constant crashes kept them saying '400 bucks, PS Plus and then this shit..' We had a lot of fun that night, but every crash was sour. Especially when a match was about to end and we were at the top. And my SP progress has been wiped as well. But I don't care about that. Its mostly the crashes, rubber band lag and that fucking sound bug.

This is the most unstable game I have ever bought.

I can't make threads yet, but a law firm has started an investigation for "possibly misleading investors and analysts regarding the quality of Battlefield 4, which has been plagued with problems across all platforms since it launched in late October."

I get the CE error whenever I play 64 player Conquest Large on most of the maps. Operation Locker, Shangai, Hainan Resort, and Dawnbreaker are big culprits (especially Operation Locker).

I don't really crash when I play other game modes. It's usually 64 player Conquest Large that gives me the CE crash. It's so aggravating because I hate all the other game modes besides Obliteration. I used to like Rush but they destroyed that game mode with a terrible ticket amount for attackers (needs to be WAY higher) and horrible MCOM placements.

Conquest 64 is amazing since it's the TRUE Battlefield experience, but it crashes....god dam EA and DICE. I blame both.

Not on PS4, but I literally crashed about 6 times in a row in a 64 player Locker server. All right after spawning (repeatable bug). I didn't care much at the time because 64 player Locker is stupid anyway and I really shouldn't be playing it.

Welp, had my first crash tonight. Was playing Conquest with a friend, played 3 matches with no problems (Operation Locker included), and then crashed on Zavod, towards the end.

It apparently still saved my progress, which is at least something, but this shit has to be fixed. There was also some pretty major rubberbanding on the Dam map.

First time playing post patch. Decided to do single player in one shot to unlock the guns. Crashed once as a CE, first time in almost two weeks, and the game froze twice forcing me to close the game and reload it.

Thankfully it never corrupted my save game, but i don't think I'd risk playing single player over multiple days.

This patch also seems to have made things worse for me too. Only issue I ever really had was the no sound bug.
