Oooh... $750/week industry scale stipend.
Frankly, I would hope most of these people make more than that in their everyday jobs.

I'm pretty sure it's more than that but maybe you're right. I researched it years ago over at Survivor Sucks but I can't remember the numbers anymore.

Regardless 750 a week is 3k for a month of doing nothing. I'm not convinced they make more in their everyday jobs to be honest.

Sounds like the DR already clued Janelle in to the fact that the coaches are entering the game next Thursday.

Janelle's been saying the same things since Week 1. I completely believe the coaches went into the game fully expecting to enter the game at some point.

This cast is so awful. Words cannot express. But it's the worst yet.

I still think last season's was worse. I half expect some of the people this season to actually put up the vets and not kiss their ass until the end. That being said, I fully expect Janelle to win this season now.

Edit: Getting tired of reading about how rigged america's vote is all over the place. People are dumb.

Based on what I've seen, 4 of the 12 newbies who started this game would have the balls and/or moxy to put up veterans on their own gameplay decision and self-interest.

One got goaded into a fight and got himself expelled from the game last Friday.
One got evicted last night.
One is about to get nominated later this afternoon (effectively toast barring a POV win).
And the last will be the biggest target in the house next Thursday, has an IQ of about 80 and ears that fold in like Dumbo's.

The rest of 'em are spineless and will only nom/evict a vet if ANOTHER vet tells them it's in their own best interests.

I'm trying to get a read on Dan but I really can't.

I don't buy that him and Janelle are working together in any official capacity, but I do think he's interested in keeping her around, vs Boogie, since Dan knows that Boogie wanted to get rid of him when he (Boogie) campaigned to Brit/Janelle and they reported it to him (Dan) later on. He talked to Janelle last night (1:20 AM Feed 3), but made absolutely no mention of what went on in the HOH room between Shane/Brit/Danielle/Himself. I just think that Dan is happy that Danielle is not going on the block this week. And I don't believe that Danielle is working with Janelle. This girl is in lust with Shane, and said in no uncertain terms that she wants to work with him, until final 2 (12:55 AM).

Oh Danielle is a lusting basket case... no doubt about that. But she'll ultimately do whatever Dan tells her.
And I don't think it's worth complicating Dan's motivations here outside of these basic givens for now.

- He resents Britney and does not have her or Shane's best interests at heart.
- He wants to work with Janelle and protect her team.
- He probably suspects the coaches are going into the game even though he's playing dumb about it to everybody.
- He's trying to set Shane up for failure so he's the only one who has influence on Danielle.
- Getting Frank out this week is primary objective #1... he'll settle for Ian as a backup target if the coach's comp/POV doesn't go his way.
- He wants to set up a split vote scenario between Janelle/Boogie this week so Danielle controls the deciding vote without question.

As for whether Dan wants to work with Janelle long-term or not, I could care less. I doubt he wants to take her to Final 2. And I agree with you that Janelle isn't working with Dan "officially"... this is purely about Dan working for Janelle out of his own volition. Hell, he'll keep things from Janie for fear of her spilling stuff to Ashley, Wil or Joe and fucking his angle up.

I think he is doing what Dan does best
trying to not be the target. He kind of dropped the ball the first week, but it was really no fault of his own. Frank was more voted to stay than Kara voted out. I don't think he could care less what the coaches are planning against eachother as long as it doesn't involve targeting him.

Does anyone think that any of the coaches would refuse the opportunity to enter the game? Boogie and Janelle have both said they would be dumb to since they have all three of their team members, and I agree but I think they will change their tune. I think Brit and Dan have no other option but to join.

Big Bro's ratings are stabilizing, last night and Wednesday were even with last week, so it's not bleeding viewers anymore, and it's average isn't far down from last year, but all TV is down as well, so it's probably not going away anytime soon.

I do think that Dan is going to work that split vote to Danielle's advantage this week... Get rid of Frank and get into Janelle's good graces for the future

I think the coaches twist next week is gonna blow the whole game up, making this whole week next to worthless. I'm not sure if any of the rookies will follow the vets, and I'm not sure who will be going after whom after all is said and done.

Edit:

oh, and I voted 10 times (via CBS.com) for the coaches to enter the game, lol.

On Dan:

I think the coaches talk too openly for the split vote plan to fly. They hide who they are targeting but once the people are up they have been pretty up front with how they are voting it seems to me. Dan could try it but it could blow up in his face if he does.

Congratulations, you're now part of the problem (not that Grodner would honor the results if they went the other way).

Actually, I'd love the idea of the coaches entering the game if Frank survived this week and Shane was eligible for HOH next week. I want to see them get bounced by non-puppet newbies. Sadly, that won't be the case.

Oh I know, I was just wondering if they had a back-up of some kind, because if it is a no, they'd have to bring back Kara and Jojo and they'd still be short a player.

Not gonna happen, but what if America voted no on the coaches entering, what was the backup?

If it even had the slightest chance of being 'no' it would have never been up to america. If somehow the answer came out no they would probably void most of the votes and say they were automatic voting programs or something.

lol.

Wil and Janelle attempting to rationalize how they dropped Shane/JoJo like a bad habit about the whole Willie thing by saying that it was their fault. And then they go on to say that they extended the olive branch to them even after that.

Delusion, thy name is Wil/Janelle.

Power conversation between
Shane and Frank
going on right now.

Sounds like Shane is going to not put Frank up.

Honestly, Shane and Frank should just run the game together and go to final 2. When the coaches come into the game, I can see Shane bringing Britney along for the ride, and Frank might bring Boogie (if he's dumb).

Here's hoping Shane listens to reason and keeps his word here and doesn't pull a Willie by putting up the desired noms of the last person he spoke with.

Kind of surprised Dan/Danielle didn't handcuff themselves to the HOH room door last night.

I'm really hoping Boogie leans on Shane to put up Wil/Joe. Mostly because I dislike them both, but also because it makes the most sense. Wil is a stronger Endurance compo threat (Though it doesn't really matter about size in endurance comps since Kalia beasted most of the smaller women in both last year, and Brit didn't do too hot in hers), and it will cripple Janelle.

And his attitude stinks.

I just realize, but Britney has no tact in this game. She wants Shane to put up Frank & at least one member on Janelle's team, so both sides campaign and go after each other which is stupid, because all Shane is going to do is make himself even more of a big target & have both Janelle & Boogie come after him.

He should either stick to his word & don't nominate Frank & make a deal with Boogie to keep his whole team safe, or do it with Janelle's team. He needs some kind of protection.

Britney gave Jojo the worst advice last week by telling her to lay low while Dan was campaigning aggressively, and now she's sinking Shane's game. Stupid, stupid.

Seems Dan thinks someone is going to trade Dan if they win the coaches challenge? Not sure why exactly, but it seemed to be all he was talking about up in the HOH room with Brit and Shane. I know it would make sense to straddle Dan with Joe or Wil so that it might deter Shane from putting one of them up, but it didn't seem like Boogie or Janelle were talking about doing it at all.

JoJo, much like Willie, was going to go home no matter what happened. Abrasive personalities that don't mesh well. Willie was part crazy, and JoJo annoyed every single person, and talked loud and over everyone, and turned everyone off. Most of the HGs have gone on record with that.

As far as this week is concerned,
I agree it's dumb to do 1 + 1 from each team, but I don't think Shane is going to do it (thankfully), and all of this is really moot. The vets are coming in on Thursday, so this whole week will have been 100% forgotten

God, please let the coaches come in and shake things up.
They'll shake things up by ganging up on any remaining newbie HOH threats and steamrolling to a giftwrapped-by-Grodner victory. Won't that be exciting?

My prediction for this week's noms as of right now:
Wil/Ian ... unless Janelle wins the coach's competition. In which case the noms will be Joe/Ian.

In either case Ian will go home unless he wins POV (which I suspect he will).
Worst case scenario is Shane breaks his deal with Frank and puts him up because he's spineless.
Best case scenario (which DMeisterJ still seems to be optimistic about) is Wil/Joe.

Waste of an HoH if this goes down. People should not be removed on the prospect
of winning, but actually doing well against the HoH and actively going after them. Ian is not a threat...yet. Shane should not be doing the house a favor by removing someone that isn't coming after him LEGIT right now.

Live feeds leak during comp
Heard Dan yelling while in some get up about being a coach and knowing to always take (starts yelling and feeds cut). Any chance they are getting offered to come in? Or too soon? Could possibly just have won the comp and was talking about taking the safety instead of trading...yeah thatch most likely... :lol

You can never tell with that one...waiting for spoiler, haha.

Interesting.

Yeah, after seeing a screenshot I'm pretty sure I am wrong.

Janelle is still up on something and everyone is ignoring Dan. I'm thinking it's some kind of endurance type comp and Dan lost and maybe picks something? Also three lockers behind him and only one is open.

False Alarm.

A redraft? I'm not sure how that would really change things. Would any of the house guests really change their loyalties at this point?

Not only that but the coaches are coming in the game next week. Wouldn't make much sense other than to make sure all coaches make it through the week.

My god this conversation going on in the HOH just makes it so damn clear everyone is just playing for the coaches. I didn't even think Shane was in the same room with how they were talking about him. :lol

Sounding like Janelle won and saved either Wil or Ashley. Joe is being talked about being the target.

Sounds like Joe/Frank will be nominees......dumb choice I think.

Haha, Boogie sounds like he is spitting nothing but bullshit. He has stayed away completely of saying Shane will not go up next week. He just keeps saying he wants Shane to work with his three.

Now Joe is wanting up in the HOH.....this could be interesting. And now the Janelle team bombardment in the HOH. Janelle and Joe are in the HOH as soon as Boogie leaves.

Yep...
Frank is going home if he doesn't win POV against Shane.
Shane goes home next week following a backdoor.
Free ride for all of the veterans (probably Janelle) to 500K.

<yawn>

According to Boogie, Brit said it would be beneficial for Shane to keep Frank around because he's viewed as a threat. I wonder if she was selling him bs. Danielle is the swing vote. It would be interesting to see where she & Dan go.

It all hinges on Dan. I'm really interested to see what Dan does this week. This is where he could actually start playing and try to shake some shit up.

There's nothing interesting about it.
Dan will tell Danielle to vote Frank out. Even if Brit/Shane want him to stay over Joe. Dan wants Janie loyal in the next phase of the competition and he wants the big physical threats gone. Joe is not a threat to anyone except himself. And Dan/Janie will be gunning for Shane next week when he can't play HOH and will probably backdoor him so POV isn't an option, either.

This HoH scramble is nice. People are scared.

Again, I think predicting anything past this week regarding noms/etc is looking too far ahead. Who knows what's gonna happen.

I think you are taking the Dan/Janelle team thing as too solid. Dan could do anything with this week. That could have all been last week just to save Danielle. There is no telling that's still on going.

This. Uber's become too jaded. :lol

You can't really blame me. Pretty much every element of veteran-favoring rigging I've put out there has come to fruition. Why wouldn't that continue to play out?

It's not looking good for Veteran Threat 1A right now.

What besides them coming back? :lol Barely anything has happened.

Dammit. Seems like Dan is getting the last word with the HOH before the noms.

Janelle was told about the vets coming in before the start of the season.

Boogie had a roster of all of the houseguests before the draft.

Ashley's vote was influenced by the DR so she booted Kara out despite the fact that she wanted to work with Willie, Britney, Shane, Dan, Kara and Danielle.

The 2nd coach's comp was effectively rigged for Britney except she fucked it up and then Willie got himself booted from the House.

Turning the "coaches enter the game" twist into an America Votes question to take the blame off of Grodner for an obvious "fixed advantage" for the returning players.

Both Janelle and Dan have been told again that the coach's are coming into the game next week so they've set this all in motion to get Frank out. Danielle is doing a masterful job I must say in her role as Dan's mole.

Plus, the vets have run every HOH, decided every pair of nominees and have the inside track on every alliance in the game.

There will be more rigging to come.
