Big Mouth [Netflix Animated Series] - Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Will Arnett

It looks like its a comedy about everyone's awkward teenage years, except puberty is represented by a monster.

The Monster played by Nick Kroll :

And The Montress played by Maya Rudolph:

UPDATE: New Trailer [I don't know if its fair to say this is NSFW]

This seems to be an interesting way to fight the stigma around these types of subjects, like puberty

Edit: Apparently I was wrong in guessing it was Will Arnett, my bad, fixed

Where did you guys get the Will Arnett part? The Monster is voiced by Nick Kroll o.o

Also, quoting myself from the other thread:

Guys, do NOT sleep on Big Mouth! That show is hilarious!
It's about kids who are entering puberty and said shenanigans, but the most fun part are the Hormone Monsters that follow them and act as their hormones, telling them what to do.
I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more promotion. It's the most Netflix show ever. Can't say why without spoiling, though.

The animation is really similar to current Family Guy, especially the mouth animations.

The premise does sound interesting so I am somewhat optimistic at least.

BoJack + Arrested + Flaked + Lemony Snicket + Big Mouth.

He is the NetFlix Hype Train.

EDIT: That was hilarious. Did not expect them to go that far.

Does Flaked get any better? Couldn't make it through the first episode. Neither funny nor dramatic.

we should add will arnett to every Netflix series from now on. People complained a lot about Iron Fist, but if it had Will Arnett, who knows

It seems there will be another trailer down the line.
It's kinda spoilerish, though... It ruins a couple great moments in the show.

I can't believe this is getting a positive reception from anyone. how the fuck did Netflix greenlight this?
+ I like Nick Kroll

Whats the point? Are they just allegories for real problems or are they actual monsters?

The way I understand it, they are allegorical manifestations of puberty, and the story is about our relationship with that aspect of growing up. And they happen to be portrayed as monsters, I assume because it is a scary confusing aspect of growing up when you're a kid.

This looks god awful and I loved Kroll Show and the League. Seems like Netflix will produce anything while they chase that Futurama or Simpsons following money. If that Matt Groening show isn't good I'm canceling Netflix they lost all my favorite shows are losing their Marvel movies and I'm not into the stuff they produce at all.

Jesus how many shows is Netflix giving Will Arnett?

Fake Edit'ish: Of course this was addressed earlier in the thread.

They are basically the feelings one has during puberty come to life. The Monster is all about sex. The Monstress is harder to define. She's "like PMS". (as per my female colleague who also worked on the show).

Also, can a mod please edit the title? Will Arnett isn't involved...

Was that an animated Vagina?

Yes it was =p

And it's live!

Anyone watching it yet?

I've been watching it, I like how relatable it is, and I'm surprised how far it goes with its jokes and what they show. The kinda show that can only exist on Netflix.

I mean anatomically correct penises playing basketball?

Laughed hard at the opening of thr interpretation of the vagina as a pleasure center for men and a concerning series of tubes for women

So... Susan... what's it like... to be in... HUMAN RESOURCES

lmaoooooo

Edit 2.0. This show is fucking hilarious.

It's been a long time since I've seen something so hated before being released that critics and audiences seem to like. I'll have to check this out.

Tried watching with the g/f. Made it to the basketball scene and she had to stop, was too much for her. I wasn't enjoying it for different reasons, didnt find the humour in it, seemed more shock value stuff.

On the flip side, after we turned it off next on my list was Son if Zorn. Gave it a shot, were 4 episodes in and loving it.

Why does the trailer have so many dislikes?

*looks at youtube comments*

Why are they talking about pedophiles?

Anyway I like Nick Kroll and Will Arnett so I'll check it out
