Mass Effect 3's original ending hurt. A lot.
#3: Price increase of games from $40 to $50 to $60. Does no one remember when regularly priced games were $39.99?

it's coming back with the indies -- look at towerfall, samurai gunn, nidhogg, and others I'm sure I have failed to mention
-Twisted Metal 2012 not becoming as big of a hit as I wanted it to be, series is probably dead now.

For me, and i know i'm pretty much alone, ND moving from whimsical platforming to gritty semi-realistic shooters.
3DS might never get SNES games. I want a portable SNES, dammit!
The death of JRPGs and the rise of moe otaku nonsense, including its proliferation in the west.

God, this is a real bummer. Twisted Metal 2012 was a genuinely fantastic game and absolutely deserves multiple sequels helmed by David Jaffe. The gaming world was far to stupid to pick up on the design brilliance of this game, however (waa! Cars don't die quick enough! I want instant gratification, I don't want to work for it!!!) and we will most likely never see another one, which really, really sucks.
Sega exiting the hardware business and merging with Sammy Studios
The rise of F2p/iOS at the expense of everything else
The end of TechTV and G4's slow, painful, death

Sony and the industry's treatment of the Vita
Rising dev costs, homogenization, annualization, and massive studio closures due to HD development
The GBA is a similarly powered device with some half-decent but imperfect SNES ports (with not enough buttons). I want the SNES virtual console on the 3DS, and can't believe it's not possible on a system that can do near Gamecube-level graphics.Wasn't that the GBA?
