Bikini Beans Espresso to Open in Phoenix

This is so weird. The Venn diagram in my head of people who like fancy coffee and people who would visit strip clubs would have no overlap.
...

Which is why it likely won't be in business for long. It will have the initial buzz due to publicity and controversy, but after that...?

Old concept, but a good one.

My immediate thought is so typical of me: I'm interesting in investment / reward for work done.

Getting your body in to "I can wear a bikini to work" shape is not easy, and yet the rewards for doing so for almost everyone are to be part time models or to be baristas at a glorified starbucks ripoff.

Obviously for a very select few people who are naturally very pretty and who also take very good care of themselves, doing the work to keep yourself in bikini / swiminsuit shape pays off hugely. A select few models and actresses make extremely good money, but the number of people who make that money is likely less than 100, and then there are 1,000,000 jobs like this one for the rest.

There are other rewards.

Some people have tried to tell me that they are prevalent enough that you can accidently drive up to some of them. I almost believe that.

My buddy's wife did once. With their kids in the car. Whoops.

They've been in the PNW for a long time now. You might not like them, but there is a definitely a demand.

I would rather interact with a barista wearing a hoodie and an apron then a barista wearing a bikini, so probably not (not to mention tattoos are almost always a turn off for me, especially ones that size).

I can't say I'm surprised though, this definitely isn't the first time someone has used this business model in Phoenix, the Heart Attack Grill was pretty much the same thing.

The one's actually in Seattle are not labeled very well.. Ciao Bella espresso.

Look like totally normal stands.. logo is just of a female cartoon face winking.

There's stretches of highway where outside of Starbucks the only drive-thru stands are the bikini stands.

There are probably twice as many "bikini" stands now than normal ones.

the future is nearly upon us.

It looks fun?

Meh, call me when I can get an adult latte.

Seems like a waste. At least in Hooters, you have to actively be ordering something. They gonna let someone sit on the internet for 6 hours with a small coffee?

I was hoping for just suggestive Hooters style apparel, but this is not only tasteless, it's unsanitary to have naked and food in the same area. It's still food service, and I don't want hair or any other shit in my coffee that I didn't request for or desire. I'm surprised no health inspector has shut places like that down in the PNW. That wouldn't fly in the Northeast.

These are all over the Seattle area.

They wear g-strings and pasties or other lingere.

They will show you anything for an extra tip at some of the places.. they've been caught getting fingered, etc.

Literally have a girl bend over and spread herself with cars zipping by the highway, if they turned their heads they'd see. They get busted all the time.. a cop was fired helping them avoid arrest.

FBI got involved, one of the stands was money laundering.

If you want to see some pictures from an investigation google "Your tax dollars hard at NSFW". It's an article from The Stranger, a Seattle mag.

Sounds like my kind of place...

Hm. I'm not sure I follow. You're talking about their vaginas, right? Because I'm at a loss how "naked" (their stomach's? their lower backs? their thighs?) could be any more "unsanitary" than, say, the "naked" arms and hands of everyone else, everywhere else.

I immediately thought this, as well. They'll have trouble keeping employees and won't last. Way too little thought was put into this.

I think you guys are way under-estimating how many willing and attractive enough females there are for working at places like this.

You don't have to be a bikini model to make decent money at a skin food joint.

Well, I thought it was obvious looking at the NSFW photos, but yes I meant vaginas.

Then again, I don't like food handled with bare hands.

My buddy's wife did once. With their kids in the car. Whoops.
That would be really embarrassing! Now the question, did she drive away or order coffee anyways, trying to pretend that she wasn't ordering coffee from a barely-dressed barista? I don't know how one would talk themselves out of a mistake like that.

You're probably describing PAC highway. I honestly could see how a few of them look like normal drive-through espresso stands. Most are plastered with bright pink paint and the few that aren't are quite often prominently labeled as a bikini espresso stand. A few could slip through those archetypes.

I will admit that they are prevalent enough that I've seen a couple drive-through espresso stands label themselves as "family friendly" - that tells you how many of these stands are around Seattle.

I can just see how the sales pitch went now...

"People who like bikinis. People who drink coffee."

Yeah particularly the Aurora stretch through Seattle/North.

Here's an example, this one is 2 blocks from my house:

That's an entire chain.. they just say "Baristas" with the logo that looks like a chick winking. I thought they had some other sub-name.. Ciao something, but can't find it.

The girls are wearing anything from schoolgirl outfits to a g-string and pasties.

The one's up in Lywnwood/Everett are far more obvious.. bright pink with signs up like "Wet T-Shirt Wednsdays"

Even my relatively small (40k) mostly farm Town has one of these types of coffee places.. my friends back home say it's pretty successful

I'll have to check it out next time I'm home.. will report with pics

Put a camera outside and take a pic of all the thirsty men and it should be enough to deter you from visiting the same shop as these thirty men.

Given that I don't drink coffee (Japanese Green Tea is the extend of the caffeine in-take), & I don't enjoy the atmosphere of coffee shops, so I guess this isn't my kind of place to hang.

Cool for those who dig it, though.

lol these are super common in washington. some girls got in trouble (charges dropped tho) when they were giving flashes if you tipped them.

It went way deeper than that, and charges weren't dropped.

Owner is being prosecuted on multiple felonies.. a cop got arrested.

Apparently the banks reported a "fishy smell" on large amounts of deposited cash. LOL

This is just one example. Years earlier several girls were prosecuted:

As a pro sensual person, I am all for this as long as the workers wear aprons and other protective equipment. A see through blouse could be more pactical over the bikini. Heck, the franchise should of went a more 'burlesque' inspired route,
and get the female aspirational demographic.

If the cofee tastes great and the enteprise is legit, why not

Saturday you say?

Might drop by.

I LOOOOVVVVVVE objectifying women!

It would be really great if I was objectified but some hot ladies there too...

Went to something similar in Spokane that's a stand and the women were in lingerie. This was in August too. Talked to them about it and they said it's comfortable as all hell especially since most the stuff they make generates heat of some sort even if it's going to go over ice. If the employees are content and not treated like shit then it's fine to me.

My state! I remember hearing about one being a front for prostitution. I only know of the one in Vancouver, though.
Yeah it was, a couple years ago. Also, some undercover cops took pictures of the girls at one after asking them to flash them and got quite a few pics of titties and vag. The pics were pretty too.

This is how I feel as well.
