Gotta say that Mexicans tend to contribute more to America than Americans do to Mexico. Not that it's right, but still.

:lol :lol :lol what?

Exploiting is now 'contributing'. Now I've heard it all.

I handed in a 10,000 word, 50 page dissertation on Fox News bias last friday.

So many examples such as them putting Bush's cousin in charge of election coverage, and then him announcing Bush winning Florida after talking to Jeb with absolutely no further confirmation, chanting "Jebbie says we got it! Jebbie says we got it!" instantly after putting down the phone (Leading to all the networks falsely declaring Bush the winner, and Gore looking like the sore loser when trying to establish a recount)

Then when Roger Ailes was grilled by a hearing into the matter, stating "We at Fox News don't descriminate against people based on their familly - and infact all I see if a good journalist using his good connections"

Oh? And further information about Roger Ailes? He's the President of Fox News and has been a political consultant for Nixon, Reagan, and Bush Snr, and attempted to launch the Rush Limbaugh TV show. Yes, Ailes work on NBC before his position at Fox, but I doubt NBC allowed him to walk into what made up Fox News before it's official launch, ask who was liberal, and fire them all. (As the then president of Fox who resigned has stated)

etc...etc...etc....

Basically easiest thing I ever wrote.

O'Reiily's the absolute worse commentator in the history of tv. I wouldn't trust the prick if he said the earth was round. If we as a country did the complete opposite of anything that he suggested, then we'd be WAY better. I'm not a big fan of Geraldo, but he's right.

The problem should be with drunk driving and not the guy's citizenship status. How many people are killed in drunk driving accidents by legal citizens in a year? In 2005, it was 16,885.

Well, yeah. I don't think anyone's disputing that...

Right?

Well, I mean, he deserves prison time too.

Of course. In fact, nobody here thinks that an illegal immigrant convcited of a felony should stay here. Deport their ass. After they serve some jailtime.

Man, if O'Reilly was more unhinged at Bush than Geraldo i woudnt have a problem, otherwise he looks like a facist when he right this time. Outside of that He and Hannity are fighting a out and out Civil War with in Shepperd and Geraldo, been going on since Katrina and been getting much worse since then. Oberman has Bills number and hes laughing all the way to the bank. Lis Whiel isnt even safe. Maybe O'Reilly is seprated from his wife? (he has a 2 year old kid with her and I think there seprated ever since the lawsuit)

My god, Bill O'Reilly. ****ing die already. I can't believe this station is the #1 rated cable station in America. What a bunch of retards.

The reason that Fox news is the number one cable channel has more to do with political affilation demographics than anything else. Fox inherits almost the entirety of the Republican base while those with Democratic affiliations are divided up amongst that channels that aren't Fox.

So pretty much, if it was just CNN and Fox the ratings would be much closer. But then again, Beck would have one mill more on a regular basis (he had 3 million several months ago...not bad for a guy 10 years ago nearly died of alcohol poisning....) But still, they make more cash than most of the entertaiment side of cable (outside of Nick, TNT and USA)

And who could forget when he called a woman who's served the miliatary for nearly 30 years "Anti-American"?

Is this kind of thing considered a success for Fox News and conservatism in general? (controversy and ratings are all that matters?)

You'd think the yelling and disrespect of Fox News anchors would turn off family values people more than anything Hollywood ever put out.

Who's exploiting who actually?

The sad truth is that even though O'Reilly was right this time- this nation screw this up big time. If they didnt go after (César) Chavez and Che back in the 1960s we wouldnt have this problem today. It was because of the farmer strike that Chavez started because of low wages (and the resulting companies still in existance today who brought people from Mexico here), we have this mess.

Savage had the right idea, if were going to keep them here, Mexico must give oil reprerations to us. 20 million gal of oil a month would do wonders to change the goverment of Mexico.

Drudge said it best back in 2002 over in University of the Arts in Philly when he spoke in one of Camille Paligua's open houses- Fox News is Corprate NOT Consertive. They have leanings to Consertive audances, but they promote Porn Stars and Evangelicals at the same time (remember 2004?) to show fair and balanised to the democratic detractors. I HAVENT YET ONCE see a porn star shown on NPR or PBS Talk Shows unless its one of there Frontline or Bill Moyers works, or better yet on the "liberal" cable shows outside of their Entertaiment news until VERY recently.

Well, if you want to get into reprerations..

For starters..
40 acres and a mule and maybe pay up for some of the land illegally seized by America from Mexico?

America is only now reaping what is sewed over the last couple hundred years.

(though, we did fight for the land.)

These days? Apparently. If you want more tempered conservative debates, you'll have to turn to PBS.

heres how you solve illegal immigration problem.

Start fining the corporations who hire illegal immigrants, make the penalty so heavy that corporations will realize the cost outweighs the benefit and thus they will stop hiring them. People will stop coming illegally because they will realize they cant get jobs and then all of the sudden you no longer have an immigration problem.

But your not gonna hear Republicans(not all but most) or Lou Dobbs say that because they pander to the corporations - and businesses want cheap labor. Its a very common sense solution but I dont ever hear anyone talking about it.

PS you can use the revenue from the fines to pay off the defecit or better fund pelt grants or something. Sounds win win for everyone except corporations, but I think they can manage.

Edit: I should have said Republicans not Conservatives

Yes I agree with this.

any other americans here think the concept of "illegal immigrants" is kinda odd? i understand certain economic issues come up, but wasn't this country as we know it today started by a bunch of immigrants? should we really be taking it this seriously? i wonder where native americans stand on this...

ILLEGAL immigrants. ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the key word. I hate to say it but I'm more on Bill's side on this one. It's about 70% (Bill) and 30% (Geraldo) for me.

I agree with this post.

I watched this during my post-op. I'd like to thank both Mr. O'Reilly and Geraldo for providing endless laughs and easing the recovery period.

There was no reason to get that emotional unless the hate is that strong. Apparently 'Illegals' raped his puppy or something.

Er, the times are a tad bit different.

Yeah I am sure that was the excuse when we put a limitation on how many Jewish immigrants were allowed into the country right before WWII huh?

Our current immigration policy really needs to be reviewed...

The video really gives you a snapshot of why discussion on illegal immigration is so combative and stagnant. There is a group of people out there who are indeed prejudiced and racist on this issue, yet many on the other side of the debate continues to broadly paint anyone who is against illegal immigration as such; it's not fair, and it doesn't solve the issue at hand. It's called illegal immigration for a reason. Yes we must crack down hard on businesses who continue to manipulate the law while creating unfair competition issues because they don't have to pay immigrants insurance or decent wages. But to just set ones eyes on businesses is just the politically correct ignorance that is also hurting this issue. There needs to be a push on border security. There's no way around it. There aren't many industrialized countries on this planet who are as lax and unconcerned about border security. Ironically, even Mexico practices some rather hardline security when people try to sneek over their border.

I'm not saying we need to build a fence. I'm saying we need to make border security a priority in this nation. Not just because of the economic issues, but because of possible terrorist preventions. We can all laugh at the thought of such ideas, but I will guarentee you no one on the left was laughing in 2004 when Kerry began demanding that cargo areas on planes be searched before lift off due to possible threats, or cargo on ships coming into this country need to be searched. It's the same thing, and the thought of having these three areas so wide open is troubling no matter what your political ideology is. It's time for people to stop the namecalling, prejudices, and passive attitude and do something about this huge issue that effects us all.

The same way a mugger 'fights' for and then takes by force someone else's goods?

Also noticed how completely steered clear about the 40 acres and a mule.. lol.

Typical. :)

That has nothing to do with race. And everything to do with plain security.

Bill O'Reilly is a perfect example of a propaganda machine (actually, all of FOX News is a good example of that), it would be awesome seeing Snoop whoop his ass :lol
