biohazard 0 for Wii: Coming Summer 2008?

wow the worst Resdient Evil ever coming to the Wii?

Even though RE4 was truly enhanced with Wii controls, the controls won't save this shit boring game.

I mean before you go into "the" mansion...they have you go through another mansion! How original! I loved the whole train sequence, but after that it all goes down hill folks.

$49 for a Dragon Quarter Wiimake!
Yes! With a better save system please! It'll help promote the next game for next-gen consoles! Not $49 though... $30 please.

I hate to say it, but I have to agree. For crying out loud, I wish I could find my copy of Code: Veronica X. Is that game still considered canon, btw? There is no mention of it in Umbrella Chronicles up to the point I'm at.

Well, he's right though. You can never win, that's for sure.
Yes you can.

Ports are only half the battle. Zack and Wiki is awesome, but not something that every Wii-owning Capcom fan is looking forward to.

Port SF Anniversary/Alpha Collection.

Release a Street Fighter IV for Wii the same day as the other versions.

Not announce a 360/PS3 version of Resident Evil 6 before RE6 Wii is released.

Announce a "Capcom 5" but not give the 3 of them (VJ, Killer7, RE4) to other platforms, cancel one (Dead Phoenix), and keep the least memorable one (PN03) exclusive.

Give other platforms games like Maximo/God Hand/Okami and repay the Capcom 5 fans by not giving them simultaneous versions. lollerskates

Maybe I'm making this sound easier than it is but damn. They make it so hard.

Hell yeah!! (for a P.N.03 sequel/port/update)..
Heck, just the same game but with some extra level;s, leaderboards and an option to change to choose the music you want (loved Mission 08)..and bam! I'll buy it again for the third time!! :p

Ofcourse CVX is considered cannon - Umbrella Chronoles doesn't cover Resident Evil 2 (sans Ada), and Code Veronica.

I'd understand if it were like RE4 which worked great with the wiimote because you actually aim, but this?! Why not just go out and buy the used GC version?

Sure. But what Svensson means is not related to Resident Evil Zero on the Wii. Everything you will do as a developer, it will be cirtisized. I mean, some people think that the new setup for Resident Evil is a joke and it lost its roots. There are people who are pissed about the move of Monster Hunter to Wii. When the announced Okami for the Wii and told it would be the original game without extra content, people complained. No matter what you do as a company (I'm using Capcom as an example) people will bitch about it. And that's the truth. And I fully agree with Svensson.

Oh yeah, Maximo 1+2 Wiimake too plz! I'm not kidding, I'd buy them all.
YES

I view this more of a test for the direction of the Resident Evil franchise than a test of the Wii userbase. The first two Wii RE games exceeded Capcom's projections by a wide margin; there is no need to test the userbase anymore. This is the third Wii RE game and the third control configuration; they seem a bit confused.

There was a lot of internal debate about the direction that RE4 needed to take. The final results was a more action-based game that, while praised by almost everyone, was not a "traditional" RE game. RE0 Wii looks like it might be an attempt to find a way to re-invent the traditional RE series without changing the series' genre. I'm betting that Capcom will be more interested in the public's reaction to the controls than the overall sales of the game.

The choice of RE0 as a Wii-make still confuses me a little. It's a low risk choice but REmake would have probably made a better choice. It has a more positive attitude towards it, would have garnerd more attention and sold better. Then again, if the controls fail this time, they have REmake to refine it and try again.

I see this game as being one step closer to getting a RE2make.

What im trying to figure out is how its being made to be played with the wiimote alone. No nunchuck, just wiimote. Is that even possible...unless they do some wierd point and click interface.

:lol Wii owners treat you great, Capcom. We do this because we want a RE4-ized RE2 remake or something completely different! Onimusha? Ghouls N Ghosts? Mega Man?

My roommate has RE4: Wii Edition. That was the best version of one of the highest rated games of all time. Releasing only a couple years ago, the game deserved to have millions play it and I'm glad the Wii helped contribute a lot to its success.

RE: UC was solid, lengthy, and a RE fan's wet dream. It also helped in the influx of light-gun games to Wii. It also shattered Capcom's expectations.

We're still testing?

They don't give a flying fuck about the direction of the series. If the new direction yielded Game of the Year caliber results, why would they even consider going back to the old formula? Oh right, they're not because RE5 is going to be the same exact thing. This is a cash-in title that's being neutered to try and bring Resident Evil to a more "casual" audience. They're trying to expand RE beyond the hardcore gamer, and in the process, using a game that

a) wasn't played to death by the public, thus they can't be called-out on rereleasing a game like they did 3 separate times with RE4 (The PC version was Ubisoft.) and many more times with the original game

b) is the only game they can rerelease that's not the original that has what are considered "acceptable" graphics by today's standards. I'm sure they would rerelease RE2 if it didn't look like a PSOne game

Either way, this is something I'm not going to support. I liked RE0 when I played it FIVE YEARS AGO, though.

I'm guessing maybe you point and press/hold A to walk/run there or B to shoot. Maybe you can shake a bell to turn zombies into puzzle-solving items.

No RE4-style gameplay = No Sale....

Actually, I'm such a homer for RE I'd probably get it anyways....that being said, I really hope Capcom doesn't stinge out on us....

Shit they don't want nobody to forget about the Bio Hazard/Resident Evil on Nintendo. :lol :lol :lol and everybody did when Bio Hazard/Resident Evil 4 came out for PS2.

so... is there any word yet if this is just biohazard o +waggle? or a ground-up remake
It's gonna be BH0 + waggle + pointing. Seriously, it's so obvious why are people even asking?

And actually, IR p'n'c sounds sort of interesting for a "secuirty cam" RE game. Can't be worse than tank controls anyway. :P

Go to hell, Capcom.

Oh snap, they're watching me.

Well, it would be kind of funny to see that this game actually would play well with the Wiimote and GAF being surprised and all.

All these Capcom rumoured REmakes. I want original IP's. Make Resident Evil 5 a go for the Wii, Capcom. I'm not going to buy more remake games of yours from GC to Wii. I already own and finished all the GC RE games.

wtf is your problem guys? I mean let the game be. I won't buy it and that's it for me. Capcom saw a business opportunity and they jumped to catch it - small investment = huge revenue - that's the deal for them and if they have the people to buy it - OK. I won't be one of them as I said.

That's funny, I thought the whole point of Umbrella Chronicles was to sum up the series up till that point, using resources from the Gamecube releases. Quite an odd choice to port, for sure. Some games that we can't play on the Wii already via backwards compatibility would be better. More NEW games like Zack & Wiki please!

so this is what wii hardcore fans want? PS2 and GC ports and pay 50 bucks for them???

Seriously this is dumb but hey you guys encourage CC by buying all these ports since i guess fans of the wii are desperate for anything right about now. Not to sound like an ass, be c'mon wii fans...demand real new games already!!

I find it funny how Svensson gets all pissy and condescending because no one wants his company's shitty ports.

The only pissy and condescending comments I see are ones like this.

dude, thats Christian Svensson, the senior marketing guy at Capcom US. he's serious business.

Sven is a nobody. He really doesn't know all that much.

Emphasis on "at this time". of course the Japanese release is always announced first, with PAL details coming in last.

how dare they port games to the Wii! HOW DARE THEY!

Well, I think this would've been received alot better if they had something original announced that people around here are actually interested in. There is nothing wrong with ports to fill out a library, but if that's all we're getting this year, there is some reason for disappointment. Last year was a good start for Capcom on the Wii. Let's hope they announce something original soon for the holidays.
