Bionic... EYE!
Your body doesn't react to a lack of oxygen so much as a build up of CO2.
There are potential complications, but less so in comparison to Laser Eye Surgery. This risk of increased pressure (glaucoma) in the eye is elevated, but this is dealt with by a simple procedure before the surgery. A YAG laser is used to make two miniscule holes in the iris and this reduces the chance of increaseed pressure in the eye almost totally. As far as implants go, does anything but the surgery really seem that risky?
My corneas are too thin (borderline case, although one vendor claimed I was suitable for LASIK), so having researched ICL's, I opted for them instead.Crazy stuff.
OP, why did you have ICL implanted? Why not just normal lasik surgery?
I thought GAF hated HUDS...
They need to changes disciplines then. We don't need super soldiers. The people who work on these things are not even in the same discipline as those working on fixing eyesight.

Yeah, HUD definitely detracts from the gameplay experience.I thought GAF hated HUDS...
I would love to wear them just so I could scan stuff or something. Or take pictures.

Getting closer to a Cyberpunk future. I like. Now, we just need the ability to live forever.
Apple will jump on this one.
I dunno, I think it'd make it worse, too. Humans are too easily distracted and too tempted by the availability of distraction. I shudder to think of people driving with a heads-up display on...checking blogs, reading directions, flipping through the music library...
Cant wait.
I wonder if you'll be able to configure your HUD to hover display over their head which guild a random person on street is in?
i'd rather have one of these bad boys

I never understood why he had to wear those, when eye implants make more sense..
