Bioshock for Ps3 non-confirmation by Tengu!

Yeah, I suppose I should stop calling it that. Hurts people's feelings. :p

Well, I never said I sold my 360 to get a PS3. Actually, I've never had a 360, partly due to its unreliability and many other reasons. The cheerleaders do annoy me, though, how can anyone defend the unreliability of the machine and annoyance of having to send it to repair and wait for it is beyond me.

It's the damn emotional investment. If any of those dumbasses had a TV crap out on them as many times as their 360s had, you'd hear a much different story.

Anyway, I was merely responding to some people's attitudes of "get a 360. Don't wait"
I never stated that I supported the 360. It's just the way you're dead set on calling the 360 a piece of shit. The way you keep presenting the argument feels like border-line trolling.

This game is not the single greatest game. Why are people making a such a big deal about a game call Bioshock? I mean guys, it's not the end of world.

You know, just for the sake of it, Bioshock should bomb so shit like this can stop. :lol :lol :lol :lol

Honesly, I think Bioshock is only big at GAf and mainstream? Uh, not so much.

Post bookmarked for future ownage.

What titles are you looking forward to this year exactly? Serious question. I'm dying to know here, dying.

This is only anecdotal evidence, but in my town, EB sold out of Bioshock, Future Shop sold out of Bioshock, and the person I bought the game from at Wal-Mart said they had plenty of people buying it (and I stopped by at 10 AM!) The mainstream may not care, but the hardcore will make this a million plus seller.

I sincerely doubt it, given the "just send it in for repair, the warranty covers it" type of talk by some people.
Key word: "some". Not everyone thinks that way. For every person who's fine with sending in their 360 for the third time there's another who's fed up with it.

Does everyone have to send their 360 in three times? They say it's the magic number.

What do you do if you buy the system and it breaks? Play the other systems you have for 2-3 weeks. What if you wait until 65nm comes out? Why, play the other systems you have all the time, of course! It would seem to me just longing for a 360 until it comes out with reliable hardware is a lot less convenient than just buying it and experiencing a rough patch of not owning it sometime in the future. Just my opinion.

What really can they do? Spend more money on a PS3? Only on GAF does that logic work, its still cheaper to fix a 360 than it is to buy a PS3. What's that you say? Sell the 360 to partially pay for the PS3. Well, that would mean you'd have to get the 360 fixed, at which point, selling it is pointless.

That only works out if you devote a considerable amount of your time and money to gaming. Besides, I value my time enough to devote part of it to constant repairs and don't have enough of it to have multiple consoles.

It's a sound argument, but still what's the difference?

If you buy a PS3 you won't get to play it much, if you get a 360, well at least you'll get to play something.

Trade offs, life is full of them.

I've got to hand it to you, you never give up.

I know. I have reasons. I think they are well known. Very well.

Dude, have you played it? The game is unbelievable. Sure, not everyone will dig it as much as others. I certainly fell in love with it.

Soon. I'm really itching to play it. Great game so why not?

You've probably spent more time trolling BioShock than most people hyping it up. Just drop it. When you're getting into how well the game will sell as a detraction, you know you're grasping for straws.

I troll Bioshock? Hmmm, that's a new one guy. Never heard that one before. I'm just saying, Bioshock may be popular here but elsewhere not so much. Not mainstream for sure.

Post bookmarked for future ownage.

Sure.

What titles are you looking forward to this year exactly? Serious question. I'm dying to know here, dying.

CoD4, Halo 3, Warhawk, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, NHL 2008, anything else?

Sure man. If it makes you happy letting me know that then I will acknowledge it. Thanks.

I don't understand this idea "you don't get to play PS3 much". When I get home my PS3 is always on playing games, internet, videos, and other odd things (pod casts, pictures, etc). I don't know what it is but I play games a lot more than I did in my first year of ps2 by a large amount. PSN games, PS3 games, PS2 games all in one area. I don't have every PS3 game but they aren't boring (well madden 07 and probably 08 if I didn't resist getting it, NCAA08 is more fun most likely as always). I still don't have resistance or motorstorm. Maybe you guys have too high standards. Or expect every game to be worth the $600 price tag alone heh.

I honestly thought that the "ONLY ON XBOX360" stamp was the final word on exclusivity.... are there any examples that people know of where a game had this stamp but subsequently came to another platform down the line?

Everybody knows that 360 has a stronger 2007 than PS3 does the Sony system will come into its own in the next year or two.

Everybody should buy all the consoles, you'll be a lot happier. Hell, if I had to, I would get a second job for a bit if that's what I needed to do to afford all three. You can make a couple of grand or more just working evenings in retail for the holiday season, I've known plenty of people that have done it and gotten employee discounts to boot.

I'd check myself, but alas the game hasnt been released here yet....

yes it does have that stamp on the box.

My theory is that, originally, it was gonna be a timed exclusive and ps3 later...but after all the hype/critical success...microsoft is tryna throw money thier way to keep it "more" exclusive...thus the stamp now.

my other theory is, it is still coming to ps3, but under a different name. Bioholdhour. the Main character is gonna be chun yun fat this time around...and it will also include Co-op..and the Co-op partner is Chris tucker.

Well there you go... exclusive stamp means total shit.
Not entirely. Enchanted Arms is the only game ever to get the "stamp" and then appear on another console. The only other thing that comes close is "Top Spin" on the original Xbox appearing as a PS2 game after Microsoft sold the liscense, but it had lots of different content.

What about Wreckless?

When my 360 broke the first time, I caught up on some older Xbox games while I sent the repair in. When my 360 broke the second time, I played tons of Killzone: Liberation and Metal Gear on the PSP.

My life did not end and I have always been able to play exclusives right away (Dead Rising, Gears of War etc..) I am also going to get to play Bioshock on Friday when it ships to my house. Being able to enjoy these games right away outweighs the hassles of being without a console for a few weeks.

Now that Microsoft has fixed the issue of not having to pay for RROD repairs, the failure rate is not nearly as big a deal as everyone is making it out to be.

If the Only On stamp never meant anything, we'd definitely see more titles with that stamp getting ported. Capcom isn't exactly loyal (RE4, anyone?).

I'll be very surprised to see a PS3 port inside of a year. Make sure and bookmark to make fun of me later.

well on another console, but a few have appeared on the PC after receiving the stamp.

All I can see is the game engine (UE3 that is) is designed for multi-platform. I bet you can find the same thing in GeOW PC version hell even in every UE3 PC game.

Hence the new stamp, they always felt that people understood that 'Only On' meant console exclusive, but now they are clarifying.

What are you getting at?

I couldve sworn the one I had had the stamp on it. Dont forget there are online pics of Bioshock boxart without the stamp.

PSU? :lol There about as credible as *****.

Not that i'm defending PSU but... next time you should actually read what they say...

There's nothing about credibility involved. There is a PS3 reference on the PC demo. Period.

PS3 - a definite chance of Bioshock turning up some time in 2008 , maybe even a 70% chance

X360 - a 100% chance of bioshock having already turned up.

Do you want to play bioshock guaranteed? Upgrade your pc or get the X360 version. Want an element of "will it won`t it? ARGGH!!!" ? then wait for the PS3 version.
