BioShock Infinite: Ultimate Songbird Edition announced

Wasn't this game supposed to be in some form of development limbo?

Sounds like they're shooting the moon with overprices CE versions.

Also, the birdie statue looks rather ugly. The winds are awesome, but the body/head? Bleurgh.
 
I would prefer the Employee Exodus Edition with all the door/name tags of the people who have quit.
 
Kinda thinking about waiting a few months after release and getting the Songbird edition at a reduced price. I like that statue but I don't $150 like that statue. I learned my lesson from the Halo 3 Legendary Edition...

Why? Why is it awful? I just went to lensoftruth comparison and it doesn't look like PS3 version is too far off the 360 version. I always like extra free games.

Then I realized it would actually make sense with the few tidbits of info on the Vita BS.

Then remembered the golden rule is "if it makes sense, it's not the truth".

Then, I got sad :(
 
That is absurd. The only difference between the Premium Edition and Ultimate Songbird Edition is the Songbird statue and it's a $70 difference! The statue isn't worth that amount of money! It is a decent-looking statue, but certainly not worth that much money. What a gyp.

I'll be buying the standard game, thanks.
 
It seems a little big, the wings look like they will take up alot of room. If it came with a steelbook or something as well i'd buy it if it wasn't too expensive.

Going slightly off topic:
I'm tired of large plastic statues and cat helmets in limited editions.

Do you know what I want?

Thick full-color manuals filled to the brink with lore and concept art.
You know, like the Mechwarrior games of old or Homeworld.

Not these large cheesy statues that you can't have standing in the open out of fear that people will think you are a complete dolt.

Well, you are getting a artbook with some art in it, so halfway there. But yes, overall I agree. But the keychain is sorta nice and subtle enough that I would probably use it for my office keys.

I almost want the CE without the big toy...

Also, I'm beginning to think, despite whatever supposed development issues this game has had, all those people leaving Irrational are simply doing so because they're finished their work on Infinite.

Yeah, keychains, soundtrack cd's, art books, all these things are great.
It's those big plastic statues that really aren't collectibles or all that well made that get to me.

....and I have bought a few.
 
I dunno... I have been waiting for them to announce this, but I think I'm going to pass. Maybe the whole idea of the game being in "development hell", and everyone leaving has soured my hype.

Plus, I'm not really interested in the offerings. I am really interested in the Art Book, but it seems like a subsection of what's available in the full fledged one.

Awesome, there's a version without the horrid statue.

Seriously, if it's bigger than 28 mm I really have no interest (although I could maybe go for a Transformers game with a nice toy included...)

I'd like to get the Songbird edition since I think the statue looks cool, but funds says otherwise. Probably stick to the Premium.

Really liking the content of it overall for both.

I love PS3 but honestly I think the Xbox 360 controller is much better for shooters. Third-party games also tend to have better framerate on the X360. My PS3 is mostly there for exclusives and PS+. Meanwhile, my Xbox 360 is pretty much only there for multiplats. Can't remember the last time I bought an X360 exclusive.

I'm getting there, I actually love the statues/figurines, but realistically I cant have a shelf full of the stuff. Seems like a lot of the time there's another CE option without the statue, though.
