It would have sold a lot better too had it had a FF logo or two on it.

Erm... not even close. This bundle was announced in February last year... slim 360 rumors were closer to E3 and the general public likely wasn't aware. It was a bad idea because it was the inferior version of the game bundled with a plain white console. No special designs or anything. It's something MS paid for as a part of their port agreements, clear and simple.

They probably won't make the same mistake with Versus and actually have a themed 360.
May is going to be a very bad month for PS3 sales. I wonder how much this bundle is going to help. Black Ops is still really popular, but it will be interesting to see.
In regards to the 360 FFXIII bundle, I'm looking at it but I'm really not seeing anything different. Why is it a special edition? Did they give something else with it? Is it more white? It just looks like the console with a game packed in.

Yep. Something like 14.8 million, if I remember right. I don't think it takes anything away from GT5. Different circumstances and all. GT5 is selling about the same as GT4 was in a similar timeframe. Time will tell if it manages to hit the 10 million mark which is where most of the mainline GT games seem to have fallen.Takao said:

You may be right. I haven't really kept up with it all. What I did see was mostly bad press which is why I kind of assume bad sales to be a safe bet. If it's only a minimal decrease then Sony will probably be jumping for the moon. Of course, the more elderly of the lot might just fall and break their backs because they can't support themselves upon landing, but that's another issue.chubigans said:

I bought the FF XIII faceplate as soon as it was on sale at BB for about $10. Sold it on Ebay for $30 because I didn't need it. Not a huge profit, but still made triple than what I paid for.

I really wish SCEA would bring the silver, white or blue PS3 over to NA. I don't see why it would be a risk factor or anything- don't they know people buy shit just based on color too? Look at the sales of the Dualshock 3s.

As for the Black OPS bundle, it's a somewhat decent idea, but they should have at least tried to get a bundle for MW3 if they wanted the COD audience buying playstations.

Not too mention, as well as MW3 will sell- I don't think it will hit Blops numbers. With the three questionable developers, people getting burnt on Blops and Battlefield 3 coming out.. Yes, Activision would allow them to bundle the highest selling title of the year. Sequel to the 3 highest selling titles on the HD consoles(Maybe 4 if WaW out did Halo 3). They would do so to promote more sales...Truespeed said:
