Reunion? New album?

i hate ozzy, but Iommi can still crunch out some good riffs.

my top 5 Ozzy era Sabbath
1. Sabotage - God Tier
2. Volume 4 - would be number 1 but songs like Changes and FX are such awful filler.
3. Master of Reality
4. Paranoid
5. Black Sabbath

Whenever I have my first son, when he comes of a certain age, I will give him the first 5 Sabbath albums.

I hope they are advertising for the other superiour band from Birmingham. I hope something exciting comes from Judas Priest.

Not my favorite, but Symptom of the Universe is just unbelievable, no fucking way they recorded that in '75. Time travel shit going on there

That looks like the Master of Reality album cover.....re-master perhaps?

For the record, MoR was also their best album.

This whole thing just sounds like a cash grab to me. I wish they could just leave the legacy of the classic albums (already mostly ruined by a bunch of terrible albums), instead of busting out some new album that I'm sure will be terrible, and a tour with current Ozzy.

So who else was kind of ":/" on the new album announcement?

Same, especially with Rubin "producing" :/

I love Sabbath, tons and I want to be excited. I just can't seem to do so...

As long as Tony and Geezer do all the writing, the album will be good. Ozzy has unlimited studio takes, so I doubt we'll get a poor performance from him.

My only fear is that they may have their creative control compromised by outisde forces.

They need to keep Sharon far, far away from everything involving this reunion. especially the tour. For the love of god don't let her have anything to do with the bands they tour with.

That goes for their kids too.

I'm confident in Tony writing great riffs, but I just and be convinced that Ozzy will produce anything of worth on this album.

Iommi proved he can still play a mean riff with TDYK, and Butler is still awesome. Ozzy though has not only fell off but fucking dropped into oblivion.

I'm glad they're touring cause I never had the chance to see them live, a new album is something I'll definitely check out as a Sabbath fanboy but I'm not expecting anything mindblowing.

Iommi can still riff, but Ozzy is so fucking bad at this point, that it's all rather ho hum.

Not really looking forward to this. I'm sure Iommi, Butler and Ward are still great, but Osbourne? Nope.

Are these opinions based on personal experience or just assumptions? I haven't seen Ozzy live, but judging by the videos on Youtube that were recorded at his 2010 and 2011 shows, he sill sounds great.

As for the album, he has unlimited takes so I'm sure we'll be hearing Ozzy at his best.

He did so great with Metallica's DM I cant wait for this! =/

LoL. Rubin produces everything from Shakira to Neil Diamond to Linkin Park to Justin Timberlake. He's like the Walmart of producers.

Live, his mic is amplified like crazy and it makes him sound horrid. Otherwise, its really not the worst. He sounds like, well, Ozzy.
