If you load up Blast Factor, there's a message on the title screen that a new add-on is available on the PlayStation Store. There's nothing on the store though, and I already bought the multiplayer add-on, so I don't think the message was for that, so I guess it should be going up soon.

As this hit the US store last week (I'm still waiting for the Euro version), has anyone got any impressions?

Is it just more of the same or is it basically a whole different game?

Yeah it is a little different. New enemies and the cells that you are fighting them in are no longer all hexagons they are different shapes. The survival cell isn't just those fireworks baddies instead it thorws a whole lot of enemies at you. I personally think it is much faster paced and a whole heck of a lot harder than the original. The bosses are different too (I think I really only got to level 5 or 6 in the original) and move all around the cell.

Cool, thanks. Will give it a go when it comes to the Euro store. Will keep me going until Mutant Storm Empire eventually surfaces one day.
