BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma announced, coming to PS3

Once you can shatter the fragile psyche of the glass cannon robololi players, they're free.

The problem is getting in and breaking them, because ASW lets the pedophiles play a fighting game like it's a bullet hell shmup. :|

Yeah, but how? Not even Great Leader Mike Z could deal with them =(

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

Nu's sword summons in Luna mode now have a durability of two, which means they will now go through things that canceled them in the past.

I'm 80% sure I'm gonna stick with Rachel. She got some of her BS back from CT.

Going to be subbing Tsubaki/Valk/Relius, and possibly dab around with Izayoi.

That's CT Bang... And Dora owned with that.

Yeah, but the difference between CT bang and BBCP Bullet is like 5 more resets, no nails, and no barrier bursts.

Also, I don't like how little her midscreen combos move them. She's basically going to have to stay midscreen the entire match.

I always figured he fell off while making his MvC2 fanservice fighter?

Maybe he'll come back to save us.

Or maybe he'll get to work on MvC2 Fanservice Fighter 2?

You just gave me AIDS on the internet. >:(

Yeah, but he has a bunch of sandwich "take this block and now I'll high low mix-up you until oblivion" bullshit to work with.

Bullet is just like "Well I canceled my combo early and now I have massive frame advantage, so I guess I'll go for a meaty or maybe this weak ass command grab?"

She seems decent to me. she already has an OS that nullifies 90% of the games dps. Plus she can get absurd damage when in full heat up. she and tager share od into 720, which is a good 5k.

But as far as the 3 new comers go, im thinking amane will be the strongest

Hey, Skullgirls is a good game, don't diss it =(

But yeah, he stopped playing BB when SG got official funding. Still, even when he was playing CT he had a hard time against them.

I'm sure Skullgirls is good.

It's just a love letter to a series I hate, so I can't back it.

BlazBlue is also very similar to MvC, but since it's a newish IP I decided to back it.

Which Skullgirls is too, but the more overt MvC fandom repels me.

Looking forward to seeing the new videos with people actually using both Nu modes (I'm at work right now).

Super early Nu videos made her look very boring because she has awesome zoning but terrible damage, resulting in her going through her matches with MASSIVE 800-2500 damage combos.

And yes, even though I was a Lambda player who got owned all day by Tagers (there were a lot of very good tagers I played against), I almost feel sorry for Tager going up against Nu in Nu mode.

Can't they make Tager more like Kanji? I mean I rather do 6-7k off a counter hit then walk/block all day dealing with the cheap shit.

From what I've been reading, some of that is just people not being used to her new stuff. Luna mode gets 1.2x the damage as Dia across the board.

Yup, it looked that way to me too. Luna mode (I still think of it as Lambda mode) has more damage and possibly better combo options (thanks to Cavalier, etc) but Dia mode is much stronger in terms of zoning (the ability to cancel Crescent Saber, fully charge Spike Chaser and dat wheel), so it makes sense to default to Dia mode and sit on that mode in the neutral game until Luna mode + proper mode switching is figured out. I just think slowly wearing someone down with Dia mode looks kinda boring due to teh damage output.

I'm just a bit sad because I started playing BB with Lambda so Nu's (Dia mode) style naturally feels more alien to me. Her superior zoning almost feels broken in my eyes.

You'd be wrong. It's so fun.

My point was that raw damage values weren't that much lower, and people are still figuring out combos.

Oh, and playing as Nu/Lambda can be considered many things, but dull is never one of them.

awwwww

Looks way too situational to matter but still interesting to see the potential of OD stuff.

I dropped Mu sometime between CS2 and Extend but her new changes make me want to pick her up again. I have too many characters I want to try out already.

I always loved fighting her. Nu wasnt even that bad compared to rachel.

Those two were the only characters I ever fought in CT. It's just that I fought a lot more Nu than Rachel. Dropped that game like a rock and came back in CS, then left again after CSEX came out. That version was just soooo boring!

EDIT: Yes, yes, I know. "Scrub talk," "lrn2play," "figure out the match-up," etc. I dun wanna, not Tager vs Nu anyway. *shudders* I'll pick somebody else for that match.

Man as much as I love New Mu.... Bullet is like CT Bang fused with CS2 Makoto's bullshit normals... and easy ass damage... It's ... calling to me.
LOL at anyone saying she sucks wtf is wrong with you.

It really isn't, requires low ass life plus a random hail mary dp with THEM in the corner. There are way better ways to set it up but all require low ass life to be of any use.

You're thinking of the first combo, which does 7.5k and actually costs 50 meter to rapid out of DP. The "meterless" part Fugu is talking about is where you just explode an orb with them in the corner, which isn't all that difficult. Even if you don't have the lowest life cutoff to maximize OD, you can still probably do roughly 5k if you're in the last, say, 1/4 or 1/3 of your lifebar.

To be fair, that kind of damage is the equivalent of any character's meaty punisher combo, but there's the added bonus of not being able to burst... which is important.

so Izayoi's move list is out. i'm not gonna bother posting it, since we won't have the slightest clue as to what any of the moves do, but apparently they're all references to Gundams

so get...hype...?

erm, she's also has multiple stances

Haha I got to check out the list sometime and see how many names I recognize. Got a link?

I thought it was already established she has two stances, unless there's more.

i think you're confusing her two different fighting modes as stances. that or i worded it poorly. i mean that she has stances within those modes
stanception
think hazama's serpent benediction, except i think she has two versions of them

Haha someone sure is a OO and SEED fan. Given her name and her/Tsubaki's Wing/Justic theme I kinda shocked they didn't have a refrence to Wing.

Still can't wait to get a home port of this game.
