Bloodborne Chalice Dunegons - need some help on going back

it has been almost a year since I played these. I can't remember which ones I have finished and which ones I haven't. I remember I had a list made but does this make sense to anyone? Would this be what I have left to finish. I remember needing to go into a few places to buy some of them but now my memory is fuzzy.

Is there a way to check what you have or haven't finished or I just need to go about this in which way to see what I need to do. its a little confusing at the moment.

I have this check list, but now im not sure if its what I have left or what.

sinster isz root challice

On my current game I also notice I have a ihyll chalice in an alter, isz gravestone, and another isz gravestone. It's really confusing to me as to which is which and where I should be going. I was hoping there was a way to check in game to see what was completed or needed to be done but I am not so sure on that. I uess ot.

Any of you more experienced players can give me a helping idea of where I should be going or looking for

You can basically skip all the sinister. Sinister just means you can PVP in those dungeons

The SHARED FIXED DUNGEONS never change so beat all of those to fight all the bosses

Everything else is for loot, self challenge

i dont think there is a point in checking them all off a list actually. You're better off just looking at where you need to go to get to the final boss (the queen) and the materials you need on the way to get there. open new or repeat dungeons according to the materials you need.

its a good idea to do at least one randomized challenge of each dungeon to unlock the ritual materials at the altars

Makes getting the stuff a lot easier so you arent forced to farm everything

good points, I was thinking it would make sense to do most of them but if not... then thanks. I think I did do most of the bosses and got all the trophies for them. So this is good advice. Appreciate it. I will stick to what helps me then and what gives me loot and good blood echoes. I never played any online though

I was just wanting to make sure I did the main things, all the main bosses and or forms seemed importat to me. I didn't go for all trophies and may not do that anyways, content is more important to me like I was saying about bosses and such.

Hintertomb and Isz chalices aren't Necessary for platinum though Isz is pretty easy, can yield insanely high blood echoes (200k per room) and provides quick access to high level chalice materials if you need it.

Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice is the "last" chalice and if you beat that odds are you have access to the rest of the chalices in the game. If you don't have a specific chalice (like a a Hintertomb Root) it's within minutes away. If you don't have it look up where you get it from and go backward from there and so on. This gives you a good idea as to what your progress currently is.

Root/Sinister/Cursed Offering chalices are for randomized versions of a chalices/layers. These are where glyphs for specific items/ gems/ caryll runes/ etc come into play. These are 100% optional in all forms.

Yes pretty sure I have finished great pthemeru. So, I guess I should just focus on collecting and actually getting to the DLC instead of worrying over doing them all. I was thinking there was some reason as to why I needed to do them all. But, maybe I was misunderstanding when people were playing the game early on. I did a lot of it near launch and then stopped playing.

Chalice dungeons were a pain. I recently (couple weeks ago) went back to finish off the list and kill the queen. I like the dungeons, but grinding to get the ritual materials was a huge pain. Luckily I was at the lecture hall in my NG++ playthrough so I could just get the extra 2 Red Jelly I needed to create the last dungeon out of the chest near the lantern, otherwise I would have probably never done it.

I did kill the queen, fuzzy memory but she was sort of white or grayish or who am I thinking of? lol anyways, yeah sometimes it was really confusing to figure ot where to go. One item or something I was looking for wasnt where it was suppose to be or it felt like I coldn't find that one area to buy it or something. I wish they would have included these with more direct differences is all. The same looking areas and floors killed it a little for me but consider it a nice extra.
