The mods just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about exclusive games (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of them. It's not like it is with third-party games where you can discuss and criticize games like a totally fine normal person. If you mock highly anticipated console-exclusive titles, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the console gamer public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to visit NeoGAF on any browser, nor will they purchase any of NeoGAF's shirts. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but the mods have alienated an entire niche-game fanbase with this move.

Mods, publicly apologize and put up an honorable OT or you can kiss your red names goodbye.
