I won't be surprised if Bloodborne gets picked on a little and ultimately ends up in low to mid 80's but I don't expect that to be the case. But my crow is ready to eat...

It's getting to the point where I no longer expect PS4 exclusives to score well. They've all been trashed so bad since the console launched (aside from a few indie titles) that these days I just expect the hate to pile up from the usual suspects.

If I could put my tinfoil hat back on, it's sad that I truly believe had Bloodborne been multiplat, it would score higher than as a PS4 exclusive. This is some alternate universe bullshit of course, but it's just the way this gen seems to be going. But yet somehow PS4 hardware remains this unstoppable train lol.

I can almost never understand holding reviews until the game is out or almost out.

Yes, they needed time for a day one patch, but apparently that has been out for days.

All holding reviews back does is force people to question the quality of the game. We've seen it too many times already.

It shows they lack confidence despite sending the game out early. Maybe the final release patch does fix many issues, but even then it's just not a good practice.

I plan on getting it tomorrow, but it's never a good sign when they wait almost as long as possible.

I hope it's good, but it's an exclusive and if it doesn't do as well as people hope, tomorrow will be nothing but bitching and moaning all over the internet.

This game will be nothing short of incredible. I predict the only negatives will be strictly technical and MAYBE the nuanced difficulty.

Other than that I'm saying this game is the best next gen game yet. Over 90+

Just my opinion based off others impressions and streams... And miyazaki.

I'm trying to keep my expectations in check. Will get ding'ed for being too hard or having a story that's obtuse or convoluted. I'll honestly be happy with anything 80+.

Demon's Souls is one of my favorites of all time, I should love it regardless.

I get the feeling it will be an in-progress review.

They will want to assess the game's multiplayer features before giving the final verdict; online servers need to be live before they can do that.

I was just commenting about the harsh reviews for playstation games this gen.

Personally don't care about the review scores, I was going to buy this regardless. If anything major was a concern (like the Order for example) I would have waited.

So is the word something you create or from a predetermined list? Also cool that it only has on effect on coop. Easy for friends and/ or communities.

As others have mentioned, there are reasons other than "not being confident" in their product for the review embargo. People need to stop trying to make this into something it's not. Press impressions are already fantastic, and the game comes from a developer with fantastic pedigree, and directed by Miyazaki himself.

The reviews will come, and they will be great. People need to stop fear-mongering over this, or trying to compare it to The Order. There were PLENTY of signs of The Order's mediocrity far before it released or had reviews. This is not the case here. The tone behind this game is entirely different.

Once the game unlocks and we all realize the loading screen and times have been patched, the reviews will be irrelevant. Bloodborne GAF will carry the hype to new levels and many on the fence will buy this masterpiece.

Yeah, Miyazaki wasn't directing DAS2 and many believe the encounter design suffered because of it. Bloodborne development was parallel with DAS2.

Great! No more equip burden, so you can wear and wield whatever you want. Then again, the game will probably not have super resistant/OP armor like Havel's this time around, so no matter what you equip, it should be pretty balanced.
