Blue Dragon shows how art-direction>>>graphics.

Graphics still look solid though, but it's the art-direction that sets it apart. I love the claymation look.
 
Am i the only one that doesn't really like the concept of blue dragon in that all party members sport their own blue dragon, which... end up looking really similar to each other?

Would've worked better with actual dragons, or even other weird funky creatures.

Ah well, I'll probably still end up getting it; looks like a very polished experience.

That Tim Burton-ass looking thing in the other scans on their site is a bona fide example this. Art Direction > All.

Sure the graphics look great, but the art direction takes it to another level. I only wish Nintendo would start doing this with Wii games
 
I've come to the conclusion that the world is going to end soon. Why? Not only is Blue Dragon raising interest in the X360 over in Japan, but Axl Rose is dead set on releasing that long-in-progress Guns N' Roses album this year. The rapture is coming soon. I'm praying for redemption so I can get into heaven when the end times are here... which will be soon...

But even then, BD is amazing technically. I mean have you seen some of the airial scenes like when the flying fortress collapses or the giant sword is ripping up the ground? Looks like CG

Nintendo not putting art direction to good use? Twilight Princess? Mario Galaxy?

I think it's pretty neat. They could have maybe had different colours for each character.

Mysterious "Shadow" fights with you.
Companions have "Shadow" respectively.
"Shadow" has strong power, becomes an one's double, and fights.


Photo2, a lot of new information is being written.
Hironobu Sakaguchi talks about various new information concerning the combat.

There are many strategy on the field.
・You able not only to confirm enemy's appearance on the field but also various skills can be used.
for example:
can use invisible skill.
can use paralyze ball called "Shibire-dama" in order to passing on the side of the enemy.
can generate certain smell in order to making the enemy sleep.

・Multi　encount
When you surround two or more enemies on the field with encount circle,
you can fight all enemies at the same time.
a variety of additional effects are generated.

・Monsters Fight！
When you surround enemies with mutually bad relations with encount circle,
the enemy starts killing one another mutually.

Between the absolutely gorgeous Blue Dragon scans (four-armed boss looks awesome) and the Jump Ultimate Superstars scans I've been waiting for weeks for, I'm pretty happy right now!!!
 
I really hope Microsoft isn't rushing Blue Dragon. This game has the potential to be something really special if it's released when ready.

On a side note, it sure is refreshing to see an RPG in a world that's not on the brink of technological breakdown :)

Only the main character has a dragon for a shadow. Others in his party has different creatures for shadows (phoenix, Minotaur etc). The only common thing is their blue color.
 
I'm hoping that Ulquiorra is in Bleach Wii....or Grimmjow...

BTW, Jump Superstars looks awesome! Allan Walker from G. Gray-Man and Light Yagami from Death Note. ^_^

Ok, you're right, but my critcism is still valid; they're all blue shadows... and they have more in common visually then not!

It's basically the same creature with different masks on.
