I would say that there is

A 33% chance this is a Kojima game.

A 66% chance that Kojima has nothing to with the game, Hasan is a hack, the game is horrible, and he's just using the hype to milk investors.

A 1% chance that Kojima has nothing to with the game, but that it is still good.

Hasan is either working with Kojima, or he is a fraud that wants us to believe that he is working with Kojima. Frankly, if Kojima IS behind this, than it is pretty unprofessional of him. This has gone past the point of clever marketing.

Imo it's just an amateur indie developer that tried to get attention taking advantage of some people wanting to believe in the Kojima/Silent Hill thing.
What happened yesterday is not the work of professionals. It's just a shitshow.
The issue is that they probably don't have much to showcase, there is no game but just some environments made with standard library assets.
It won't end well for them, Sony is aware of the situation (see Yoshida) and if they determine they're using the platform for a scam it won't end well for them.

I don't see Sony letting a nearly 2GB application, not just "file" on to their network without knowing what exactly it does?

I can only imagine these things are heavily vetted.... but then again Cyberpunk was let on and we seen how that went. I just don't know anymore but the silence is now deafening.

What if Abandoned isnt a game but more of an announcement of games because sony either bought the IP from Konami or is just super close with them now? That would explain why theres silent hill hint and a image with a guy with an eye patch all blurred out. There wa srumore back in early 2020 that sony was trying to buy the Silent hill, Metal gear and castlevania IP from konami.

Want to agree, but the problem is Shuhei wouldn't publicly tweet about it twice, especially in a way to put spotlight on a potentially botched product.

They are still using them a lot. Just not in video games recently

Maybe it simply caught his attention and they're now going to investigate in the matter?
But really if this was orchestrated what's the point of yesterday's shitshow? It doesn't contribute positively to anything.
The app should have been released containing more clues for people to find.
Instead this seems to be a fake excuse of an amateur indie developer who made promises but has nothing to show.

Stop thinking shu tweets are a seal of approval and that Sony has a watchful eye over every developer and know their levels of competency

Nah, I know Shuhei is pretty interactive with the community and his followers, but this would be unprofessional territority otherwise. If he didn't know, and he does, he would have just not given it any attention like everyone else over there in Sony land.

To the people think Sony bought the IP's, technically would it be more likely to be a license of the IP for just video games? Wouldn't Konami want to keep the IP for the merch and pachinko machines?

It's basically the same for Sony but very different to Konami

yeah i agree with you. peope are saying why would sony say anything but these rumours are getting out of control. they would have distanced themselves from it by now. instead we got both shu and keighley saying hmmm...

whatever this is, they both know. shuhei especially. he's the head of indie's at playstation. he knows exactly what this is. he obviously isnt allowed to say just yet.

Massive difference between light-hearted vaguness and adding fuel to the negative criticism from his position.
 
It's one thing if Kojima is pretending to be a random developer leaving small clues leading to a surprise reveal, but these countdowns to "oops, not today" is just a disrespectful way to go viral, regardless of who is making what. 👎
