Blur : the new Bizarre race game

Damnit this website sucks. I try to sign up for the free comcast thing, so I can get in on the beta but it says I have to pay 5 bucks for it wtf? So instead of it beeing free I need to pay now.

Goddamnit :(. Oh well, no beta for me then :(.

If anyone can get his hands on another beta code I'm applying for one ;).
 
why no hype for this

fun arcade game made by Bizzare + mario kart powerups + 4 player split screen = awesome

or did people want PGR5 which would have been basically the same as PGR4

I think this game is still hurting from its first showing. Plus Split/Second is stealing a lot of the "powerup" racing hype.
 
I don't know about everyone else but for me 4 player split screen is one of my favourite features. I hate when mates come around and only 2 people are playing and the others are watching. Does split second offer 4 player split screen.

I do not even know if they have local muliplayer AT all..... :(

OT:
I played the game at GamesCom 2009 in a 12 player LAN setup, and that was amazing to play it like that.
The game itself was a little choppy back than but the powers and the cars where all cool.
I think if they lean on the muliplayer part hard on this game it could differentiate itself from the other racers this year.
BUT the game has to come out between split/Second and the New Need for Speed.
So mid summer release (mid July maybe) would be great!

Because I played it at E3 and it was garbage. That was a long while ago, so maybe it's shaped up since then, but Split / Second was 10x the better game.
 
The beta's been pushed back until tomorrow (March 2nd):

Hey There!

By now you may have figured out the beta you will be participating in is Blur, the highly anticipated racing game from Activision. After further review, it was determined that one more day was needed to open the beta. Xbox tokens promised to be delivered March 1st will be delievered on Tuesday March 2nd. If you have a validation code you will be receiving your Xbox token Tuesday morning.

Interested in Blur as it's a bizarre creations game but am still 50/50 on it. Look forward to hearing beta impressions.
 
PM and I'll be sure to give you the full details tomorrow as I am sure this thread will be back a few pages tomorrow and it was tough finding that I had the keys in the first place.

I still have to formulate how we are giving them away since we just received all the keys in e-mail out of surprise (we had originally thought the exclusivity with FilePlanet broke our deal, but thankfully it didn't =) )

Certified PGR fan going back to the glitched version of MSR on Dreamcast, which Sega nicely replaced for me after I'd completed it. Then I completed the proper version and got all gold medals in PGR1, which I bought with my Xbox on launch day.

So what do we have to do? Prove we're big fans, or something nasty?

You could always pay FilePlanet £6. If you're that much of a fan, of course.

£6 is a lot of money where I come from. Seriously though, I've got a lot to play right now, I'd certainly make time to play Blur's beta if I had access, but I wouldn't pay a fee to get into it.

I never bought the PGR2 DLC either, maybe I'm not as big a fan as I thought...

Beta starts March 8

I have 102 beta keys to giveaway.

I am giving away 50 codes via Twitter. To win, you have to follow and RT the status. This one will run until Friday, March 5.

Another method is via Facebook. We are giving away 25 codes. This will run until March 5 too. To win via our Facebook, all you have to do is tell us what your favorite Activision game that isn't named Call of Duty or Guitar Hero.

The twitter giveaway isn't the first come first serve -- it's a random giveaway. YouTube is the only one that is first come first served.
 
got my beta code from kotaku, they have plenty, signed up and waiting for 8th march, although everything of this game doesnt fill me with confidence, i'll try it anyway
