BMW drivers are angriest on road

I always find the wannabe businessmen who can't quite afford a BMW and instead settle for an Accord or Insignia to be much more angry.

I find the ones forced to the minivan the angriest :lol

edit:

The study of 3,000 motorists also showed 17 per cent of people have had a bad experience with another motorist in the past week.

What's a "bad experience", anyway? It could mean getting honked at rightfully, but the person on the receiving end is so oblivious they have no idea why.

I actually do agree with him that there is a time period from 2000-2008 or so where a lot of their cars looked rather lumpy and uncharismatic (and I preferred earlier generations). Though their cars that are being pushed out now and in the past couple years are quite sexy.

BMW hasn't made a good looking car in about 10 years.

Really?

Oh please, the money I could spend on a BMW could buy me a really nice and reliable Honda Accord.

I do not side with the ones who say BMWs are ugly though. BMWs are pretty sexy.

And the money you could spend on a Honda could buy you a really nice and reliable Skoda. What's your point here?

The six series and X5?

The six series looks awful, the profile shot of it shows how much of a mess it is.

Not surprised. Where I live, most of the douchebags who crash their cars or cause accidents have BMWs. And they're always black, ALWAYS. The cars.

fuck you all you cant just drive bad with this car because every driver says "Omfg this is art" and blow up their car to let you pass. Even the traffic light sets itself on green automatically when you are close and its red because it goes omfg. Srsly

wat?

It's been common knowledge for a while.

Mr. Smith: I move my finger one inch to use my turn signal. Why are these assholes so lazy they can't move their finger one fucking measly inch to drive more safely? You wanna know why?
DQ: Not particularly.
Mr. Smith: Because these rich bastards have to be callous and inconsiderate in the first place to make all that money, so when they get on the road, they can't help themselves. They've gotta be callous and inconsiderate drivers too. It's in their nature.

to be fair, the image comes from the BMW ads and the quote from shoot'em up, but I think he was driving a Mercedes in the movie... :P

What's the deal with white van people anyway?

I think its any man forced to drive a van feels instantly inferior to every car on the road. It's like being the fat kid in gym class.

People in BMW's are all late to their meetings with the conglomerate merger businessmen folk so they drive extra fast to keep their capital and global enterprises in check with the bottom line by selling selling SELLING. HURRY BEFORE WE LOSE MONEY, CHECK THE QUOTES.

my 335 has the iDrive as well... I dont get the hate, once you learn how to use it its ez-pz.
It's the non tech crowd fucking up the reputation.

I love my bmw's. I don't tailgate or do any of that other rude stuff. But I do like to drive fairly aggressively. Never dangerously, though. There is a difference.

Anyway, I find Buick and minivan drivers to be the worst. Both are not very alert and make poor driving decisions.

All the repmobiles at the top there. Not surprising. I'd be pretty furious if I spent 70% of my waking day driving. I get annoyed enough driving across town, let alone having to make eight hour round trips to meet potential clients at 9am who you just know have a better offer already and are just meeting you in case you were willing to take on their contract for a massive loss and bankrupt the business.

I thought all the douchebags who used to buy BMWs buy Audis now.

Anyway, everyone knows that the worst drivers are in minivans, Lexuses (Lexi?), and Mercedes.

Yes since bangle took over their cars have gotten uglier but the E46 gen was their peak in terms of design. Those cars are sexy as hell.

E-92 and X5 and 5-series car all look very good.

I don't get where this BMW or Audi drivers = douchebags comes from. Jealousy much? Or numerous anecdotal experiences?

seriously though. I've seen douche bags in every brand of car. I think people just remember some experiences more because they conclude "x thinks they're better than me" as why they blew past them. whereas, had it been a Mustang, they would have just assumed they were "in a hurry" or "just some kids".

I think you bring up a great psychological point worth exploring. I've no found any "brand" consumer to be more likely than another to tailgate or anything else.

What's the only difference between a BMW and a porcupine?

I heard this.

What is the difference between a snail and a BMW?
The BMW has the slime on the inside. :D

This was said by a Toyota owner. :P

Didn't need a survey to tell me that, its pretty much common knowledge in car communities that BMW drivers are douche bags who always expect right of way and what-not.

Here in New England I havent really noticed an overabundance of rude BME/Audi drivers. However, it seems like I always get tailgated/illegally passed/flipped off by Mercedes and Porsche drivers, as well as people who drive Lexus SUVs.

I can personally attest to the fact that Porsche drivers can be douchebags on the road, because I myself am quite possibly the worst kind of Porsche driver - I drive a Cayenne, and I can be amazingly rude, usually because I'm heading back from a really long surgery or some annoying patients.

When I'm working, I'm the biggest prick of a driver on the face of the planet. When I'm not, I'm pretty lax but still speed a lot.

Perhaps BMW drivers are just more often doing business than those with lesser vehicles.

At least the brakes work right in the BMW.
