Borderlands 2 coming to Vita

OK. Sold. Do I really need a memory card to save games, or will it save to game-card or internal memory? And same question regarding patches. I don't plan on downloading any games, I'm really just getting a Vita for Borderlands 2 and the MGS HD collection.

Yes you will need a memory card. Most bundles come with a 4gb one though

Borderlands 2 is a great game, I won't deny that, but I find it pretty weird that Sony decided to pay for this game instead of something with more sales potential. A CoD Ghost port would've been wiser in my opinion. I'm sure Vita could run it better than the Wii ports and those were really good.

If this version comes with the DLC I'll rebuy it on Vita Day 1. I never bought any of the DLC on 360.

If not, forget it. I'm not going to pay $40 for a game that's been $10 on steam at this point.

This was easily the best thing I heard in the conference.
I can't wait to see it in action.
Hoping it'll encourage more devs to do things like this on vita.

Borderlands sold 7 million copies; Type-0, 1 million at best.

7 million >>>> 1 million.

Easy choice!!1

Well it's not like that they'll get a sale from me...
Borderlands? really? If Minecraft is legit that's actually way better than this.

Ok if the framerate is decent and the fonts are readable I might buy this.

I think I read Iron Galaxy is doing the porting? They are ok. They have ported a bunch of UE games around in the past. I think they did some grunt work for Bioshock infinite PS3. They also made Dive Kick so they are clearly technical wizards.

I'm pretty excited for this, but I can't help but be a little concerned. I keep imagining it looking and running like the Vita port of Ratchet & Clank FFA/Q-force. After I see some Vita gameplay, I hope my worries are put to rest.

I may be interested in this. I picked up BL2 day 1 and put a lot of time into it. Played through with Mechromancer once that DLC hit, but then burned myself out, came to dislike most of the characters and missions and have moved on without even thinking about the newer DLC. However, the KZ:Mercs beta is showing me how good a portable FPS can be and if BL2 Vita releases at a good price with all the DLC (and has good performance and controls) then it has probably been long enough that I will enjoy another run through (or two).

Where are some semblance of screens or anything that describes how close this will be to the console/PC versions?

I'm definitely in the doubtful camp. After Gearbox's last "oversight" project and the problems with Liberation, it will take a lot of convincing to make a purchase.
