Is currently staging a hunger strike outside Gearbox HQ while trying to hate them to death
I really don't think Nintendo cares about what Randy did.
And that's the problem with him, noone cares about all the lies he tells.

The guy lies so much and funnel other companies money for their games into their on project that at this point I'm not sure many people or publishers believe him much anymore. If Borderland didnt sell so much the current publisher probably would have drop him like a bad habit.

I suspect any company is VERY interested in what a potential business venture has done in the past.
He's not the first. Denis Dyack is like the only person in the industry to get punishment.
Maybe they realized they were talking to Randy Pitchford.
Just a long shot but I think the most important part of that is the 8gb, not the speed of the ram.Yeah, but considering they managed to get it running on the One's 8 GB DDR3 + 32 MB eSRAM, obviously that wasn't a requirement, just something that made development easier
Yea, it's a shame that he gets to joke about CM once a year, having got away with it scott-free. Weird thing is that Dyack hasn't done anything nearly as bad as Randy IMO. I mean he hyped the shit out of a mediocre game, acted like a tit on GAF and horribly mis-managed his company and still doesn't come close to Randy.
Dyack supports GG. He is worse than Randy.
You have absolutely no idea what discussions took place. None. Nobody here does. Let's not make assumptions.Nevermind what kind of human being Randy himself is, what is more important is that Nintendo apparently doesn't care to get a highly acclaimed franchise that could become just as popular on mobile as MH. Same goes to Diablo 3 btw, loot based games fit mobile gaming perfectly.
Would the Switch be able to run Destiny? Never mind the large storage it would need.

You are so right. what the fuck was Sony doing when they released so many ports on PS4. Not working on anything else.
Might not?
I have to laugh at this one since Nintendo never got any Borderlands and people think they'll "magically" get one.
Seriously, it's Nintendo, it's for the best to expect nothing from 3rd party, and if you bought a Nintendo console for its 3rd party, I have bad news for you...
It's really the time to accept this fact.
Was BL3 ever expected? Or is the "not coming" based entirely on this random tweet exchange?
When Nintendo went with 32GB, it should have been clear they would not be receiving a lot of AAA support. Most them require tons of patches(that only seem to get bigger with some games)and post polish. It's not a surprise to me that they probably won't get games like this.
Lmao they literally just suddenly stopped communicating with a big third-party developer? Goddamn
"Sorry, what did you say your name was? Randy who?"
"Pitchford"

I wonder if it's feasible for the team working on the new UT to get on that. Because that would be wicked.I dunno if anyone cares about "best looking portable FPS" but whoevers first with 8 player drop in / out AD HOC deathmatch is gonna make some serious bank from the school cafeteria / college dorm / hipster tech startup rec room crowd
The same way they're handled on everything else. There's no way Nintendo would risk a patch corrupting a game card, or worse (in their eyes), being used as a vector for homebrew. This is a good point.
How would patches be handled on Switch?

Unfortunately that is very relevant to the point you are making, Randy is a proven compulsive liar and cannot be trusted. This very well may be the case, but we would need corroboration from another developer.
Btw, who's the IP-holder of Borderlands? If it's 2K I bet they have a saying in this afair too.
Take Two probably just offered up something Nintendo wanted way more than a Borderlands port so they persued that instead. Fits the priorities comment too.

This is a theory and opinion. Sega being good buddies with Nintendo now and might have spoke to Nintendo about what Randy did to them. Essentially took majority of the money to make bordelands while pawning of a game to another 3rd party. Nintendo probably do not want to go through what Sega went through.
Nintendo will fare far better than Gearbox at this point.
I get that I'm alone in this thinking but this is not a big loss. IMO, Borderlands was the only big semi-well made series Gearbox had but that series has had so many games eating its lunch lately that it's hardly the unique series it once was. I see Borderlands 3 being a "hobby-grade", bad Destiny knock off (which I feel like would be ironic). These opinions are all colored by me feeling that Gearbox is a terrible developer.
"I do not see that as happening. We were talking to Nintendo, but that stopped for some reason. They have other priorities."
Isn't 2K one of the third-party pubs making Switch games?
Are you kidding? They (Iron Galaxy) got a PS3 AAA game in a playable state on a fucking Vita. What do you expect exactly? It's way beyond what the Vita was originally designed to handle.
You better hope you don't eat crow. lol
