Really? What exactly are they going to do when theres almost no new source material to write about? The whole thing could just be filler from end to end? If you must do filler, you have two timeskips that you could explore, maybe animate those?

The new manga isn't the worst thing I've ever read, but man. This is way, way too soon to be starting up. Gonna make the mistakes of the Naruto anime all over again.

Bingo.

Prints money, yo.

Speaking of, also a live-action Naruto movie in the works. Over here, I mean, not in Japan.

Make up their own plots? I mean, isn't that what turned the anime into a chore to watch?

Sarada makes it all worth it. Much better character than her parents.

Live action Naruto sounds awful and will star tons of white people.

I think there only like seven chapters of the manga out.

I'll watch at least the first few episodes of this though. Guess it means Naruto anime will wrap up by then (just doing the side novels until last chapter)

Most of the chapters were covered by the Boruto movie, so would the anime be retreading the same material then?

Not only that, there's not that much Manga for the anime to go off of currently.
Unless it's packed full of filler, this will be a seasonal anime, not a weekly anime that stretches forever.

But why.
Are you telling me that Boruto is going to become an actual ongoing thing?

Honestly what's the point after the level of fuckery the show got into after the Pain arc and just got progressively more insane from there.

Curious to see how long it goes before being consumed by filler.

If it goes the Dragon Ball Super route, there technically won't be any filler since there isn't any manga to draw from.

I know there's a manga but it's monthly and it hasn't even got to any new stuff yet. This anime will pass it in no time (if it becomes a long running series) so I'm wondering if the manga is just a glorified advertisement for the anime at this point.

With how big the movie was and the great sales of the manga it a sure thing already.

i wish it wasn't a fucking monthly manga. actually i don't mind it so much since the chapters are fairly long, but having to see the movie all over again is a bummer. though it does make sense as a jumping off point

That's probably what's gonna happen.

Like the manga ends with a cliffhanger or a flash forward to the anime

I'm a bit out of the loop on Naruto but wasn't there a Boruto manga. I remember hearing about it.

I could never get into the Naruto anime compared to the manga (which is one of my alltime faves) so I don't have much hope for this, which sucks because I don't like the Boruto manga at all so far either. So I guess all I can say is I hope this is good.

I wish they'd let the franchise take a breather before diving back into the world but gotta make that paper I guess.

I read the first few chapters of the manga a little while ago and it was awful. Naruto has just turned into a complete arsehole and deadbeat dad who won't even attend his own daughters birthday party in person. It seems completely against every bit of character development he underwent during the original manga.
