This has me hyped too. Just wish the Boruto manga wouldn't drag its heels in the Boruto Movie retelling, especially with that intriguing opening of
older Boruto fighting a new antagonist and the implied death of Naruto.

People keep calling this filler... but what is it filling in if the manga is already finished and the next gen manga isn't even drawn by Kishi (who is still busy planning out his new series)?

They're going to pull out some bullshit about the "true power" of the Byakugan to make it equally hax. That's the whole point. I wouldn't doubt that there's some equivalent to the Mangekyo that no one has discovered yet.
 
People are kidding themselves if they think the Byakugan isn't gonna get some sort of power up. You really believe the main character of the series is gonna have shit eye powers compared to the Sharingan? No, he's gonna get a stupid upgraded version of the Byakugan just like Sasuke got a stupid upgraded version of the Sharingan.
 
Yeah I am shock people seem to think that just like Kishi pull shit out of his ass for the Sharigan he won't do it for the Byakugan as well, the writer is god people remember that!
 
I remember one of Neji's trademark moves was spinning really fast and emitting chakra.

So Boruto can get rasengan aura where he becomes a mobile rasengan.

I can assure you Kishi won't. Its way too late for that. The Last was the Byakugans time to shine and create new lore and ironically it did not. If Kishi isn't working on this story then perhaps.

Huh. Didn't see that one coming. Ah well. Milk away! I'll give it a try when it releases. If there's an actual effort to make a good series it might just be worth it.

Well Boruto had a Sharingan in the flash forward didn't he? So he just gets both and they'll both get some super power up.

Anyways, the best that can happen is for a talented team to start writing original material with Kishimoto's supervision, with the manga adptation running at it's own pace, the monthly format is such a bog.

I still have hope that after the movie plot ends, we can sort of get back to the more "grounded" ninja stuff we saw in early Naruto without all the tailed beasts and stuff, so we may get a more personal, high stakes type of story.

The Naruto franchise just refuses to die, eh? That new PV had seemingly good animation, though, from the quick cuts; but most anime do in their first few episodes.
 
I've been reading the manga and enjoying it a lot. It's also nice to see Naruto and Sasuke being fucking badasses.
 
I'll probably let a good number of episodes pile up and binge watch them before I get into this.

I think the best part about older Naruto is that he's the same age I am. He was the same age as me when I started watching part 1. I think that was definitely done on purpose. (Obviously not for me specifically but for fans who grew up with the series)
 
I enjoyed Naruto from kid to teenager to adult, but i can't restart, another moody kid, fuck that....kill this fucking series already..

Most likely since it seems to be adapting the manga. Assuming that this is going to be a long running series, I don't think they can afford skipping manga content. Actually from the little I read of the manga, I remember there being some small changes,
 
Wasn't the final villain like the
god of the Naruto universe
or something? What's left to take on after that?
