Bloodborne's boss themes are really good and really gets you pumped. Acouple unmentioned ones that I really like:
Ebrietas - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sr349qR9s8&list=PLCLeSTzz6trY_Qn_8vMnqO9TbqesAM4x6&index=18
I love those strings.
Even though I know people detest the XIII trilogy, but Caius had a bad ass song to go with him.

Sonic 3 Final Boss Music
That ominous intro... gets me every time. For some reason it always gives me a feeling of dread right before the action starts. Actually, it's probably because my most vivid memory of it was playing through Sonic & Knuckles as Knuckles during my childhood. At the beginning of the final boss battle Egg Robo holds you helplessly in a vicegrip and drags you into the next screen, and the first four notes hit right as you see the final boss,Mecha Sonic.
Indeed, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned the 02 theme from Kirby 64:

Best boss music in a Kirby game IMO, and a very disturbing opponent (even if technically easy). I still feel disgust when I think about Him.
Chrono Trigger - Battle with Magus
96 posts to get to Super Mario Galaxy.Yoshi's Island Boss themes have already been posted, but I might as well post some underrated ones.
Super Godzilla
Bagan
Pokemon Stadium
Vs. Mewtwo
Wild Guns
Final Fight
Super Mario Galaxy
Final Bowser Fight
Alright, maybe that last one isn't underrated but I couldn't resist posting it.
Streets Of Rage
Absolutely killer, and provides a nice pounding juxtaposition to the smoother normal stage tracks
Came in to say this. It's still unbelievable to me that you play through the whole game, which is super cutesy even by Kirby standards, and suddenly at the end you find yourself up against this:

XIII-2 had some really hype boss music:
Worlds Collide (I know, goofy lyrics, but it opens strong, and the vocals are less jarring in context)
Heart of Chaos (penultimate boss)
Invisible Depths (final boss love the slow escalation)
Genetrations 3DS is best version tho https://youtu.be/gwlC89-X-oc
This boss theme is used in multiple Gradius games and its spin offs.
Poison of Snake
Not sure if this has been posted yet but
Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver - Final Battle Vs Red: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSKxTqDvsas
This is kind of a remastered version but its incredible.

Am i the only one who finds absolutely ridiculous how they keep pushing this edgy bullshit on KIRBY of all series?
I know they're usually super secret fights, but still, it comes as trying to hard for no reason to me.
What other examples do you have in mind? For me it stands out in all of the Kirby universe as gratuitous nightmare fodder, and the music really drives that in.
You guys let me down big time

Dancing Mad. Shit hasn't been realer.

The funny thing about these threads is that so many people post links, but I bet most don't click on any lol. Fun to browse nonetheless.
The Ace Attorney 3's version of 1's Pursuit Theme
At every moment with Dreamcast, there was always, kind of, threatened by the looming shadow of this unshown thing, the shadow of the PlayStation 2 always loomed large over it.
I know people have posted You Will Know Our Names, but for the actual bosses in Xenoblade it's One Who Gets In Our Way. Yeah, shit gets real when this plays.

Not the best theme, but based on the topic I'll put forth Otherworld from Final Fantasy X.
It sounds NOTHING like any previous Final Fantasy battle theme. Frankly, it was so jarring that I really knew shit was about to go down.
Wait... Raiden... canlift.... a Metal Gear?
From my experience, most of the edgy stuff is just fan interpreted. 02's just a big eyeball with wings.
