Looks like the official website was updated this morning, with some new pics/info on the game.

First of all, there's also a village to rebuild, just like Norende in Bravely Default. This time around, it's Magnolia's hometown that has been destroyed. Seems to be working the same way (gather people via StreetPass, build stuff faster, get great rewards, fight some powerful bosses).

D Journal is now the U Journal (it's Yuu's, the protagonist). Inside, same info as in the D journal, including over 320 entries for monsters.

There's also a new system during battles: Consecutive Chance. If you defeat all enemies in one turn, you can chose to fight another wave of enemies for x1.5 reward. The more you use CC, the more rewards you get... but BP stays the same, so be careful.

Finally, something called "My set".

It allows you to create a list of your characters and have it save what jobs they’re using, along with their commands, abilities, and equipment. Making it much easier to have various setups with all the jobs out there.

Yep was about to post this, I really wished the original had something like that cause I had a few setups but swapping was a pain so I sticked to a single one eventually.

Only wish this had a western release date. And by western I mean european, which hopefully wouldn't be 6months after the US one.

I'm not saying it would, I said I'd hope it wouldn't. You kinda never know how it goes with those things until they announce the release dates, if they ever do(though seems unlikely they wouldn't port this over).

I remember hearing how much the repetition hurts bravely default and I was like "naw it can't be that bad". I was wrong and I hope the sequel corrects that

I have to disagree.

Edea and Agnés designs were great in Default, but Tiz was the personification of bland and Ringabel looks dumb (specially the hair).

The Bravely Second cast not only feature more variety, but the designs are overall better (imo, of course)... Except maybe the long haired dude.

We don't know yet but it sure seems suspicious...the 3 musketeers especially.

These both sound really nice. My set will be really useful for keeping different setups handy, and Consecutive Chance sounds like a neat way to spice up regular battles, and give more of an incentive for beating enemies quickly. I can see things getting pretty crazy after using that a few times.

It's a conceit that was very poorly executed and I can't blame people for bringing it up. The concern is they will invent some other conceit for repeated content, though I don't feel that they would do that again because of the negative reaction.

I've seen people argue the story was great for that part and it was really the fault of the battle system that made people dislike it.

I could only shake my head.

Nah, the Set system is there so you can have different setups for your existing characters; like Time Mage Magnolia, Ninja Magnolia, and so on and so forth (allowing you to switch from one to the other in a matter of seconds).

Is it bad I got all the way up to the end of the fire crystal part of the first game and stopped playing? I feel kind of guility about not finishing it...

Though I am interested in the 2nd one, I'll be totally lost I imagine or is it more indirect sequel?
