BRAWL - Fan-made re-imagined fighting game characters

Not a fan of the Tron bonne redesign, but except that it's amazing...

Special mention to Haggar and Old Zangiev ( I'd love to see it in a game)
 
Do want the Hakumen, Cammy and Chun-Li ones. Not so much Morrigan unless it is for a Puzzle Fighter/more comical spinoff game. And the Mario and Captain America ones are so politically incorrect.

edit: All of them are amazing though.

"Gritty/Realistic" Mario is THE most overdone thing in gaming fan art.
 
A friend of mine just showed me this tonight. He made a submission for the stage competition.

Wow I first thought these characters were supposed to be in Brawl and it'd be some models that were made to make it look like they belong in the game. And then I entered the thread and became horrified because absolutely none of them look fit for Brawl's art style. While if it was just some competition only about reimagining I'd say a lot of them are impressive especially that ice cream subzero. I hate that Cammy and Mario though. Cammy not blonde? wtf is that shit? Then it's one of the other chicks that had cammy's clothes. Of course though all of these are beyond anything I could possibly do.
 
The stages are godly !
Too bad very few of then have the nostalgic factors that the characters have

And ... most people sucked in the composition image !
The idea was to post a image of the character in fighter stance or something more game related ... most people just took the background of the "hey look at my pose!!" rendered stuff =P
 
Cammy, Cyber-Chun, Old Gief, Vega, and Hakumen are sweet; Haggar's alright, but other than that it's all about DEM STAGES

The new MK's stages really aren't far off from that in quality. You won't see stuff quite that good in games this gen, no way current consoles could do the 60 fps needed for a fighting game with assets like that.
 
I really like that big fat bruiser Mario. Normally I find gritty re-imaginings of the plumber rather groansworthy, but this seriously looks like concept art come to life. So well modelled.

Other favourites of mine are Kid Akuma, Cammy, Cyber-Chun and Kabal. Such incredible artwork from people over there.
 
I like the radical redesigns. Would so love to see pirate Heihachi and Starfox, Cammy, Crippled War Veteran Cap (lol holy shit) and young Akuma in a game.

Okay maybe Captain America doesn't belong in a game here, but it's still an idea that totally came out of nowhere.
