Brazilian Steakhouse is the best steak eating experience.

Usually here in Brazil you can tell the waiter how well done you want your meat and they bring it to you.
Also, not all cuts are lean (again, in here) but I find meat from other countries to be too fat, maybe there's that.

Places i have been to in the US let me have a choice. Ive asked for med rare and they have brought it to me that way. And I have asked for extra char and they have done it. And they have a range of lean to fatty cuts. Guess i have been lucky.

You just sit there and they bring you freshly seasoned/charred cuts of like 20 different meats until you beg them to stop.

It's a unique experience. It gets old over time. I got one next to my work and haven't been in years, but that first time is magical.
Brazilian here, no it does not.

And now I want some chicken hearts.
Damn it don't do this to me.

They keep bringing you food until you explode.

Bacon wrapped filet mignon at fogo in Minneapolis is SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

Lived here all my life. Been a regular at all the majors (Manny's, Murray's, Oceanair, etc.) - still need to go to Fogo and I'm excited to try it out. I've been to Rodizio in Maple Grove (Brazilian) and it was pretty good, but far from my all time best steak experience.

Went to Chima in Philly, It's proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I can't overstate just how awesome it is.

Question:
Do other cities have "Restaurant Week", where they cut prices and have special menus or is just a Philly thing?

Taken advantage of this multiple times when I lived in Orlando. Except it generally lasted for a month.

dem Texas de Brazil and Fogo deals...

I kinda have to agree.

The best steaks I have ever had have been cooked by me in my home.

You have absolutely control over the meat and process. I like my meat fatty, charred on the outside but red an bloody inside.

None of that lean filet mignon trash.

My man, Dennis.

Oh god yes. I've been to a couple different Brazilian steakhouses. It's best to go during lunch - half the price of dinner in my experience. You won't have as wide a variety of meats, but it'll be much less busy thus you'll generally have better service.

And those salad bars - fantastic!

They recently shut down the only Brazilian Steakhouse in our town. It's a fucking Mexican restaurant now.

For a few minutes, I seriously thought about voting for Trump.

I feel sorry for the people who never gonna eat at Porcão.

OP, you got me hungry, I think im gonna eat some today.

I have been to a Brazilian Steakhouse 3 times in my life, with about 5 years between each visit. Just worked out that way. Amazing each time.

The meat is only lean and well-done if you aren't specific in your requests.

Every decent place like this I've been to is happy to oblige if you want something different.

Brazillian BBQ is damn good, but I thnk Korean BBQ beats it hands down. You get an even greater variety of meats, the grill in on the table so the meat is in your mouth seconds after it is done cooking and the sides.. oh all the side dishes.

It's not cost efficient for a light eater like me but I did enjoy the one time I went to a Churrascaria.

What a meat carnival that was.

That is like more expensive than the numerical price of a brazilian steakhouse in brazil =O

It's so good, though. Definitely a place that only gets a visit maybe once a year, but I'm glad it's still there.

There used to be a place at Puente Hills Mall called Oba Oba that was my favorite and it was lower-rent than Agora, but it was cool and laid back inside, and the waiter dude looked like Dean Malenko from wrestling. But they closed and it was a sad day for bjork.

There's one in Riverside called Gol Brazil that's the same concept, except you have to get up and go get the meat yourself. It's still cut on the spot, but the location used to be a dental office or something, so maybe there's some legal reason they can't bring it to you? Anyway, Gol Brazil is very low-cost if you just want to try the concept out, and the food is good.

Texas de Brazil is expensive if you're not getting a coupon deal of some sort, but goddamn it is amazing. They heavily salt their meats, so you have to like that.

Churrascerias are good when you can get it cheap, when you are trying new cuts of meat or when you are in the mood of eating until you get stuffed. What they are not good at is quality meats.

I would put churrascerias a step above the shitty american-style family-oriented steakhouse but well, well below a proper Argentinian steak house. I don't know how common they are in the US, but if you find one, just go there. Servers are usually super well informed and can help you get exactly what you are looking for.

There are few places quite like a good Brazilian Steakhouse. I've been to the Fogo de Chão on Piedmont in Atlanta on a few occasions. Always an excellent, belt-loosening experience. Expensive, but heavenly. Oh man.

Went to Fogo de Chao for Christmas here in Las Vegas last night with my wife and a couple of our friends, meats were great...best Brazillian BBQ I've had. Ever.

Got so full I felt I was about to suffer from a protein coma lol

At first we tried to go to the Ceasar's buffet and found that out to be a 4-hour+ wait(!) on Christmas night...we call other nearby buffets on the strip and find it to be the same thing too. We ended up using Open Table scrambling to find something else at the last-minute and was able to make a reservation at Fogo de Chao within an hour...took an Uber and got there early and they were even able to seat us soon after. Great call! We noticed a wave of people coming in soon after us as well, most likely parties that also got denied from all the other buffets too.

I like yakiniku and korean BBQ but none of the meat are really steak imo since I would never trust to eat anything there medium rare.

At the Brazilian steak house that I go to they do all the cuts from rare to medium well.
