This is the ending in Star Fox Command where Fox and Falco retire as pilots and become the top racers in the "G-Zero" Grand Prix (my personal favorite ending):

Star Fox and F-Zero are connected. James McCloud never died, but was transported to a parallel world of F-Zero instead of "G-Zero." Proof? In the Star Fox Command, the same game as that ending, James McCloud makes a playable appearance just before the final boss in one of the endings.

My crackpot theory.

One of the only crazy episode of pop fiction goes into insane detail about this

My bigger problem with them is that they require absolutely no effort to come up with. Character in an unrealistic scenario? They were just dreaming! Or schizophrenic! Or autistic!
For similar reasons, it's why I detest the theory that The Big Shell was all just one big VR simulation in MGS2. It's lazy, pointless, and not nearly as fun or interesting as the alternative.

Well... Both Mario and Link have been caught dreaming... ;)

F-Zero pods and Arwings have the same antigravity system, G-Diffuzers

F-zero is cool and all but tell me more bout that star ox

well usually a successor has an additional word to its original title. in due zero gravitation in space stars have deformed the word f-zero into star fox-zero. so there is no suffix, there is now a prefix to show that how awesome the new f-zero game will be.

I don't know, it's the first video I've seen from that channel, so I can't tell if the video is joking or not.
I mean, you could argue that jokey atmosphere should give it away, but many youtubers use jokey atmosphere while being serious (Game Theory and the sub-channels come to mind)

It's obviously joking. It parodies every recurring element of those dumb crazy "theory" videos, right down to the blatantly misspelled word at the big climax of the theory explication. It's pretty damn good work.

My crackpot theory.

Star Fox is just a retelling of real events in the F-Zero universe, but sanitized for children with cute animal characters.

Crackpot theories are a guilty pleasure. Whether they're for a kids cartoon or a som vido game... They're dumb, silly, obnoxious and unbelievable. And sometimes even bit creepy when it's uncertain whether the author is just creative or mentally damaged...

My sentiments exactly, and it's primarily the reason for why I made this thread!

Keeping bringing the crazy, GAF!

Wasn't there this Metal Gear Solid theory that suggested the Kojima cameo was him trying to ask the player to save him from Konami?

Also, there is the Majora's Mask being based of the five stages of grief theory.

Also, there is the Majora's Mask being based of the five stages of grief theory.

The moments like Denial for the Clocktown Workers and Bargain from Darmani as representation for their respective areas are VERY cherry picked. Aonuma has confirmed that the multiple moments of grief in Majora's Mask to give it a better tone, and not just some stupid metaphorical reason.

Game Informer: Some fans speculate that Majora’s Mask is a metaphor for the stages of grief. The towns-folk are in denial of the moon falling; the Deku King is punishing the monkey out of anger; the ghost in the snow temple is bargaining for a return to the world of the living; Lulu in the Zora Temple is battling with depression; and the final temple could be considered acceptance as it wraps up Link’s journey. Was this considered during development, or is this just a fan interpretation?

Eiji Aonuma: It’s certainly true that each one of these different episodes you talked about has a different emotional cast to it. One feels like it’s tinged with sadness, and another with anger – that certainly was intentional. But, I also want to point out that it’s not that each one of these episodes only has the one emotion that they are conveying. There are certainly other notes that we’re trying to hit as well, and the reason we did this is always to allow the player to experience that emotion – to give them a chance to hook into the emotional tone of this scene and react to it and feel like they want to accomplish something in the game as a result.”

Also for that Link is Dead thing, there's the heavy implication of Hero Shade (OoT Link) and Twilight Princess Link being blood related, so that's one of the biggest arguments against it.

Ah, so then the stages were more inspirations rather than the overall theme? That's cool, I don't take theories too seriously anyways.

I remember another one, all of the Smash characters belong to Master Hand, because they are just toys and the Master Hand is a child playing with them and imaging their fights. Crazy Hand is another child who is the friend of Master Hand. Because the toys are not theirs, Crazy Hand plays roughly, while Master Hand plays carefully to be sure to not damage them.

The only thing more complicated than the Zelda timeline is the Mario timeline.

Real life is just an offshoot of the Mario timeline. Think about it.
