I think this pose is pretty bleh, but as far as fan designs go, I really like it. Fits perfectly in-line with the Guardians of the Galaxy aesthetic, so if they want to have a distinctly cosmic Marvel feel, this may be a way to go.

Since the Siege event iirc they only went on a partial date no? Though they had a non-romantic history prior with her being killed/ split into pieces thing.

I see nothing wrong with it. She's had plenty in the comics.

Oh, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. I'm just tired of the romance subplots in comicbook movies since they're usually secondary or tertiary to everything else or really poorly done (Thor).

Falcon and Bucky. But to be fair, they both have Steve.
I'm practically wishing this movie flops so that the original Captain Marvel gets more opportunities to use his original name, even if nowadays that only happens in DC's multiverse comics.
It's not like Danvers has some classic story arcs people are actually fond of and would like to see on the big screen anyway...
Bucky is definitely Steve's real love interest.
But what about the 7 Captain Marvels before Carol?

It used to be called Timely, and changed its name years after Captain Marvel was a famous character - I doubt the inspiration for the company's choice of new name was entirely independent of the Fawcett character...
