As far as I know Tim and his colleagues put that list together, having different tastes and everything. The goal was a diverse soundtrack and they succeeded with that, obviously. Much of it will be in the context of the game, I'm pumped for those moments.

This soundtrack took years to put together as we wanted to represent every genre of Metal, and also have the perfect music for every epic moment in the game. It's designed to be loved by Metal fans, and for those who are not, it will either convert them or make their heads explode ... or both.

Also, they made a good call on the Dragonforce. It's nothing but Sonic soundtracks sped up tenfold and with guitar instrumentation.
