Burnout 360?? Who is picking this up?

I have always liked the Burnout series, playing all of them before. Burnout 3 and Burnout Legends have been the most recent versions I have played. I skipped out on Burnout Revenge due to news of the 360 version being made.

Now I am getting cold feet on this version due to me seeing games like Fight Night and GRAW being so advanced in graphical upgrades. I just worry that the upgrade isn't going to be enough to sit along these other titles. I have Need for Speed and can handle the graphics in that and think that it is a great game.

I guess it will be an impulse buy, as I have 3 days off this week...

How do you feel about it, and are you picking it up?

I like Burnout, I bet it's a blast.

However, with GRAW, Oblivion, Outfit coming out with several more 360 titles I want right behind...it gets a wait till cheap marker from me.

Naw, I'll wait for a new Burnout that's been strictly developped for 360 and PS3. Skipping this game is made even easier with GRAW coming the same day, and Oblivion a few weeks later.

Same here.

I'm not sure if I can really justify spending $60 on a game I've already owned and played the hell out of once, so I might Gamefly it to see if there's any bonuses or online stuff first (plus I'm about to drop $150 on Shadow Hearts/KHII/MM Powered Up, so I don't know where it lies in my purchasing decision later on)

I love Burnout, and have the 360 version preordered at EB. But I may cancel that and put the money towards The Outfit instead (if that demo comes out soon and I like it). I finished Revenge on XB1, so the only thing this version would have that appeals to me is better Live functionality.

I'd never buy this game twice. Truly amazing on the PS2, but not so much on other consoles IMO. Plus, I'm trying to send EA a message.

I am tempted... if there was no other 360 release I cared for this week, I'd go for it. Basically there's only 1 game, outside of GRAWWWWWWR and Oblivion that I will consider buying, and that's The Outfit. The fact that it's a essentially port of a 6 month game being sold at full price doesn't help one bit.

That said, I would definitely buy it if it was $40.

Plus, BO isn't really about racing, which kills the Live incentive for me. There are far superior racers on the console. Well, one actually.

I'm tempted because I just love the track designs in Revenge (especially White Mountain) and some HD and better sound would be nice. But I've already got GRAW on order so I'd say it's 50/50 depending on my mood later in the week.

I'm scooping it up. I already gave my original Revenge to a friend. I know a number of people who are getting the 360 version.

I am getting it this week. I didn't finish the first, I played the hell out of it though. I am looking forward to seeing it on the 360.

Yeah, I'm sure EA's going to be crying in their buckets of money, when they recieve your message! :lol

no Burnout for me, well maybe a rental at best but its not worth buying a game i`ve already played to death and offers little extra.....GRAW, Oblivion, MGS3:S and MGA2 are more than enough for this month to break my bank a tad, and my relationship with my girl :lol

If a game doesn't have "GRAW" or "Oblivion" in it's title, it isn't getting my money this month. :)

Seconded. The Outfit and Blazing Angels are very, very close to getting my money this month.

yeah, you guys just made me realize that I have GRAW, Outfit, Oblivion and Far Cry coming all within the next 3 weeks pretty much. I think I will pass on it as well. Probably will be a good bargin bin title if there is a dry spot in the schedule.

I've got $10 down on it, and 90% sure I'll go ahead and grab a copy. I'm hoping that Fry's has a cool sale and I can use that $10 on some other games. :)

I've already got my copy pre-paid in full. :D It may sound crazy, but i'm *almost* as excited about Burnout Revenge 360, as I am for GRAW.

I think thats just because deep down i'm a racing freak first and foremost. ;)

Either way, this is gonna be a sweet week for 360 owners. I've got Thursday off from work just for the occasion of these two huge games this week.

i was pretty sure about getting it but then after playing MC3 again i realized how much i love that game and how BO3 turned out to be a passing fancy. I ll just wait for the next MC game.

I cant justify the 60 bones for a port.

You're thinking of Ridge 6, aren't you? I just don't get that one...

It's not a bad game, but it's far and away the worst Ridge game in a long time. The handling remains automatic and simplistic, which I could enjoy in the PSP title, but less than a year down the road, I expected more (especially from a new installment for a console).

I also feel that many of the track designs just aren't very good. The game features the worst set of tracks the series has ever seen (which doesn't mean they are crap, mind you, as the older tracks were all really good). There are a few good ones in there, but far too many that I simply don't enjoy all that much. The game starts to feel tedious, which I did not expect from Ridge Racer. The visuals also fail to truly stand out, with about half of the tracks consisting of more simplistic geometry and flat designs. That one track set at night which has you racing through various colorful tunnels is especially ugly and simple. Without the HD resolution, it wouldn't really look all that hot.

PGR3 impressed me a whole lot more, to be honest. I was never a fan of that particular series, but something just clicked this time around. The racing is extremely fast and the handling feels so good plus the visuals are absolutely incredible. 60 fps would have added to it, no doubt, and the loading sucks...but even as it is, the game flat out rocks.

Burnout Revenge on 360 will be a great addition, me thinks. It may not resemble traditional racers, but it's an absolute rush. The track designs in Revenge are extremely good and the action is a blast. I actually feel that it will make a better racer online than most others as it focuses on direct contact. Ridge Racer in multiplayer is at its best when you are simply competing for lap times. It isn't a good Live game at all.

I deliberately skipped the PS2/Xbox version in order to wait for this. I had tons to play, it being 4th qtr and all...plus, I expected it a lot sooner than this. Assuming Fry's has it for <$50, I'll get it this week.

Normally I wouldn't give in to current-gen games ported to next-gen consoles, but since I never played Revenge on PS2/Xbox, I'm going to bite this time around. Plus it doesn't really seem like there's another Burnout game coming this fall (unless they're being deceptively quiet about it), so I need my fix for a while.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't either. I just don't have a a PS2 or Xbox anymore, just 360. The uploadable replays feature sounds cool, though.

I might grab it , but I"m really strongly considering an HDTV this next week or so instead. I've never bought a burnout game ever and they got rid of the only stupid idea added to BOrevenge for the 360 version. Despite no love being thrown at past versions i'll check out ghost recon and the outfit but cant' see myself buying them. Same deal goes for elder scrolls actually... makes you wonder why I bought a 360 when the only game I wanted to buy for it came out at the end of december... but I bought 3 others games anyway...

I guess i'm a fullblown Criterion fanboy. I love everything Burnout, and now i'm totally into Black.

Prine: When is your 360 gonna be working again? I feel sorry for you man, with GRAW coming out so soon.

Me, me, me, me.

I really liked the demos of Burnout Revenge but have been purposely delaying for the 360 version. Soon, the wait will be over...

Burnout is about the most fun racing game there is, and I like to have the best version of it around. Burnout 360 is that.

I think the game looks like it'll be a blast and fun to play while taking breaks from GRAW. If you wanna play with me on either..send me a FR my GT - TagThatTsT

Too many racing games... RR6, PGr3, Full Auto, NFS, Burnout, and Test Drive coming soon.

I already have RR, so I'm going to wait for Test Drive. I'm crossing my fingers that they can pull off everything in that game.

I agree with you. I did pick this up, but sold it along with my xbox for the 360. So I`ve got enough reasons to pick it this week.

I intentionally held out on the XBox one so I could get the 360 version. Give me the XBox one in 720p for $60 and I'll be happy.

holy shit burnout revenge marketing is hilarious. LET'S ADD BOOBIES FOR NO REASON

I should have the precious by saturday to fully enjoy GRAAAWWW and Fight Nigh 3

Midnight Club.

I wouldn't buy it. The better online play is only relative and the graphics wouldn't do much more than the old version on our sd tv.

Secondly, I enjoyed playing BO3 and even BO2 much more than 4. They where over the top but not too much. Checking cars is just not that fun for a long time and it doesn't really improve gameplay.
