I wonder who we play as?

American : Delta Force/Marines?
British : SAS (Thats what I gather from inside the plane)
Third? : Freedom Fighters? Russians during Afghanistan? who knows.
 
Woah. I'm impressed. I love Infinity Ward and can't wait to try this baby out. They must have really been working on this for a while considering they haven't released a game since CoD2.

By the way, for those who are hoping for a Wii version:

Looks awesome....Infinity Ward is back!!!

However I was disappointed to not have any first person shots.

The new Medal of Honor Airborne had some nice ones cut into their new trailer.
 
well I never played a COD game for more than 20 minutes. They are way too scripted to be enjoyed.

BTW I wasn't comparing it with MGS4, I just thought some of the environments gave me MGS2/4 vibe. Like the raining tanker and the deserted middle eastern town.

this guy looks like Revolver Ocelot. The scene is reminiscent of the MGS2 intro where Ocelot was in the Blackhawk and says "The boy is right on schedule"
 
Wow I'm thoroughly impressed. I'll wait to see some gameplay movies before I really get hyped up, but I 100% agree with the direction they're going. No more WW2 games, modern warfare is 999x more interesting (although MoH Airborne looks good)

Infinity Ward supporting Wii

Recently we heard of Call of Duty 4 in development by Infinity Ward and Activision. Infinity Ward is a subsidiary of Activision and is popular for bringing the first two Call of Duty titles to the PC and also the award winning COD2 on the 360. Interestingly enough, Infinity Ward’s description states the following:

“A talented team, an exciting work environment, and competitive compensation await those people who are interested in creating cutting edge games on both the PC and all of the new next-generation console platforms.”

The job posting also has Wii, 360 and PS3 listed down under categories. Does this mean that that Infinity Ward is bringing COD4 to the Wii? We’ll just have to wait and see!

wouldn't you rather have games built from ground up for the wii instead of watered down ports?

I know I wouldn't want to play these sort of games on the wii.

I can't seem to get your MP4 downloads to work on my PS3 these days. I just tried the new Medal of Honor and COD4 trailers and they just get hung up on the loading screen.

Any ideas ?
 
I was worried that 'modern warfare' would mean yet more fighting in the desert which is seriously getting older than WW2 shooters. At least those can have a wide variety of environments.

Nice to see that it looks like they've got some Eastern Europe action in there.
 
How many times are you people going to mention WWII? We get it. Your happy its not WWII. Hell the trend for the past 2-3 years has been non-WWII shooters.

I'm probably actually more tired of the "WWII is old" whining than I am the actual WWII games. Such unoriginal whining.
 
it's a good thing they moved from the WW2 setting... that was getting very monotonous and boring. this looks interesting. it might be the first COD I've gotten since the 1st one. this looks REALLY good.
 
I'm about 3/4 through COD 2 and fun as it may be, I'm getting pretty tired of the WW2 formula.

How does COD 3 stack up against 2? Considering getting it once I'm done it the latter.
 
Wow, I assume it looks that mediocre because they're trying to pump it out on a bunch of different platforms. Hopefully the PC is one of them, then modders can make it worth playing.

CoD2 and 3 were both great games on the 360. Why don't you wait until you see actual gameplay footage before trolling?

The graphics do not look impressive at all.

Still will probably be as fun as hell, and it looks a lot more exciting than I thought it would, but it's graphics are so very far away from impressive.

You know you wouldnt stand out as such a blatant troll if you didnt go in and actually EDIT the last part of your sentence to make sure everyone knew it was so very FAR away from impressive, as opposed to just not impressive.
